Extras: The best extra was a 10:22 minute long interview with Tom Byron, the director whining about Texas (he's from the Houston area) and discussing his career as he drove along the roadway. The only other extras were eight trailers, a lengthy photogallery, some spam, and a slip case. The front page menu had a choice for "extras" that lit up but only went to the scene selection screen so I found no BTS feature or other standard extras expected here.

Audio/Video Quality: Masturbation Nation 2 was presented in a 1.78:1 letterboxed widescreen color offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480i resolution). The camera work mixed it up this time with a bit of tease footage taken inside the house, including some quality time of Tom in Vegas during the 2009 AEE where you can see a few internet notables in the background. The video maintained a solid bitrate of 6.8 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to none and each scene provided solid fleshtones that appeared to be accurate as Craig Daze worked the cameras. The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the picture not always optimal (looking better this time though) but as far as Tom's work is concerned, it was shot with the ladies in mind; making the gals look their best for the most part or at least as much as the point of view style he employed could make them. The editing by Tom was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor.

Body of Review: Tom Byron and his company, Tom Byron Pictures, have long been catering to niche markets in porn, following the trends to stay afloat in this turbulent economy. As such, Tom offers up a variety of series that I have found to my liking, the latest of which is Masturbation Nation 2. As expected, neither Tom, nor any other males participates in the action here, the 15 ladies all masturbating with their fingers or toys in a semi-believable manner. I admit I went into reviewing this one a bit pissed off though, the cover advertising there would be 16 gals on display, but the lack of decent extras and minimal running time (at least compared to other solo movies released of late) was more of a rating limiter than that. Rather than give you a repetitive breakdown of the scenes (they were all on the bed or couch, minimal toy usage, and few true happy endings), I figured it would make more sense to provide a cast list in order and pictures of each lady, noting that no population pudding or genetic juice was observed.

Summary: Masturbation Nation 2 by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures had a nicely selected cast of cuties with solid production values and most of what it advertised so I rated it as Recommended. I know many fans prefer seeing the ladies working with mopes, stunt cocks, and the usual pack of male talent so willing to provide their genetic juice plastered all over the faces of the women but shows like this are a treat in terms of letting the women have some fun without interruption. In short, Masturbation Nation 2 was nothing far off the heavily beaten track but it did provide some appealing solo fuck for the buck, strokability, and replay value to merit a decent rating, so fans of ladies engaging in solo work might want to check it out.
