The Movie:

Belladonna and friends are back at it again with Dark Meat 3. Like the first two entries in the series from Evil Angel, this is a two-disc set catering to fans of 'black guy(s) on white girl' loving. There's no plot, no real set up for any of the scenes even (though there is some very basic scene setting here and there), it's simply straight up hardcore gonzo smut - though the subtitle, 'Serving The Black Man' does at least give you an idea of what the recurring theme is this time around. Here's the breakdown:

Disc One:

Chapter 1 - Belladonna C.J. Wright, And Prince Yahshua: A blonde haired bespectacled Belladonna is hanging out in the kitchen with C.J. Wright, who isn't happy with her. The DVD

Video:

This shot on digital video production looks pretty clean presented here in a reasonably stable anamorphic 1.78.1 widescreen presentation. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots and a noticeable bit of mpeg compression evident throughout in the darker scenes. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on, and aside from the fact that this digital video production looks like a digital video production and as such suffers from the minor defects usually associated with the format, everything looks as good as you'd realistically expect it to.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The dialogue comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. There is no background music used anywhere during the feature aside from the opening credits and the levels do tend to fluctuate quite a bit from scene to shining scene but aside from that there isn't much to whine about here. The audio is fine.

Extras:

The only substantial extra in this two-disc set is a Behind The Scenes (1:04:40) featurette. Like most of the BTS segments you see on Belladonna's Evil Angel releases, it's a casual affair allowing the girls to talk about their work and about their performances here wearing just their street clothes. The guys follow suit and all involved appear to have enjoyed themselves. Even if some of the sex gets a little rough in spots, you definitely get the vibe that these people are all pretty friendly when not in 'porn star' mode. Dana's interview is done after her scene with Rico, and the two sit in bed and talk to the camera in a remarkably casual way. There's also a fair bit of 'fly on the wall' sex scene footage in here too. It's worth a look.

Also included in the set is a cast list, a filmographies section, a photo gallery and some trailers for other Belladonna movies. Both discs feature animated menus and chapter/performer selection.

Final Thoughts:

Well, what it comes down to here is whether or not you're into interracial gonzo or not. If you are, this release ranks up there pretty high. It's well shot with a good cast and the sex, which is pretty rough and aggressive, does have some hefty spark to it. The BTS documentary is much better than average and it's nice to ass a Belladonna release in anamorphic widescreen. Recommended.
