Extras: The best extra was the lengthy, 51:20 minute long feature of bonus action by Craig Daze where each of the ladies from the cast got to have some interview time with a bit of occasional masturbation footage included. There were then some trailers, a photogallery, and spam, as well as a slipcase for the DVD box.

Audio/Video Quality: Asseaters Unanimous 17 was presented in a 1.78:1 letterboxed widescreen color offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480p resolution). The video maintained a solid bitrate of 5.7 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts and each scene provided solid fleshtones that appeared to be accurate as Craig Daze worked the cameras. The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the picture not always optimal but as far as Tom's work is concerned, it was shot with the ladies in mind; making the gals look their best for the most part or at least as much as the point of view style he employed could make them. The editing by Tom was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD (and there were again some abrupt edit points that were jarring). The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor.

Body of Review: Tom Byron is a director and male performer that is often willing to go just outside the boundaries of gonzo porn to offer things some of his peers seem to shy away from such as female to male rimming (tossing salad, playing the rusty trombone, etc). If you like that kind of thing, you'll probably find Asseaters Unanimous 17, the prequel to last month's Ass Eaters Unanimous 18, just what your libido needs to be busting nuts and painting the ceiling repeatedly. The series is dedicated to the select group of female performers that like the taste of a man's ass, specifically Tom's ass, and will lick him clean for extended periods of time while jerking him off. Much like the newest volume of the series, this volume doesn't stick to the earlier formula that had two ladies working Tom at the same time (except once and he skipped out having Nina Hartley to allow Christian a shot), the penetrative sex far less important than the multitude of oral tricks all partners (in each scene) did to one another though each scene did have the stated male ass getting eaten actively in every scene. Okay, in each scene, the ladies would suck Tom's ass in a myriad of ways, Tom reciprocating with some oral love of his own. The sole exception to this was in the final scene that had Christian XXX doing Nina Hartley, like all the other scenes, the antics were oral-only and no penetrative sex outside of a finger (in Christians ass) with a glove on. Some of the ladies were more enthusiastic than others but the overall theme was strictly oral only for those that are looking for a more complete set of sexual skills being shown (as in the more recent release of Ass Eaters Unanimous 18). It was fun to watch and the extras helped up the ante in terms of value so I gave the volume a positive nod, I just prefer to have penetrative sex in my porn, hence the truncated review.

Summary: Asseaters Unanimous 17 by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures followed the time tested formula of having no penetrative sex, including the popular Nina Hartley and other top notch talent slurping away on man-ass like it was money flavored candy. I rated it as Recommended but it could have easily been a higher rating for anyone into seeing guys get rimmed by sexually charged ladies, a few of the eight scenes on the mediocre side this time. In short, if you enjoy watching salad tossing as a sexual fetish, Asseaters Unanimous 17 will be an excellent experience for you to repeatedly blow your seed all over the ceiling, even more than Ass Eaters Unanimous 16 was in many ways so check it and the rest of the series out should you be predisposed to this kind of kink.
