Extras: In terms of extras, most fans of Bree Olson will appreciate the twelve scene compilation from her other titles at the company, the second disc called "Everybody Loves Bree" as though it were also available separately (I haven't seen it for sale though I'm sure some enterprising people will cut it loose from this double disc set to sell it that way). It lasted 238:12 minutes and while the scenes were a hodge podge in terms of quality outings, Bree was certainly a hotty in all of them, shining mostly in the lesbian scenes from what I could tell. On the first disc, the extras were also pretty solid, including a 10:26 minute long Behind the Scenes feature (mostly photoshoots and deleted clips surrounding the scenes, Shyla Stylez absent sadly enough), the promotional YouTube video the company used to initially promote the show, a short blooper reel lasting 5:29 minutes, a 5:59 minute long set of interviews, a cool digital download version of the movie, a variety of trailers and a photogallery, as well as a bonus scene from "Sunshine Highway" that was pretty heated, if not hardcore enough for my tastes.

Audio/Video Quality: The F!ve was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Andre Madness for Adam & Eve to be released in this MPEG-2, 480p resolution offering. In keeping with Andre's older body of work that I'm more familiar with than his newer stuff, the visuals showed how the man is better with vignettes than true features, Bree as the focal point not hurting one bit. There was some grain and minor mosquito noise, the lighting used to invoke a mood more than look like a standard porno. The soft focus did not bother me too much even if the video bitrate hovered around 3.6 Mbps and could have been higher (but for the extensive extras). The skin tones were slightly off in that respect but the action clear to see, making it a better looking show than some of the past efforts by the company though certainly not their best in recent years. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English stereo, the 192 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate generic as could be. The moody background music in some portions of the movie was well done though the vocals seemed cookie cutter basic with no separation (the dynamic range minimal).

Body of Review: Andre Madness is one of those directors that seems to change with the times, shedding his style as needed to evolve to working circumstances at places such as Adam & Eve. His latest project is The F!ve (AKA: "Bree Olson: The Five") and even a casual glance at the front cover gave me a lot of hope that it would be a special type of movie considering it headlined five extremely popular performers; Bree Olson, Alexis Texas, Shyla Stylez, Jenna Haze, and Sasha Grey. That the second half of the double disc set was a full twelve scene compilation of Bree's best scene for the company was certainly a selling point too but with scant information going into the movie, I was curious as to see what kind of movie it would be as the marketing pretty much kept me in the dark (and Empire erroneously listed it as a "gonzo" title). Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Alexis Texas

Scene One: Bree Olson, the foxy little blond featured on the center of the cover, was up first in a living room wearing some skimpy black lingerie, slowly peeling it off to some incredibly generic music. I'm not one of her fair-weather fans that think she looks better in soft focus or with noticeable camerawork but she was as decidedly cute as ever, the modestly length tease leading her to crawl over to Johnny Sins and assist him with the removal of his clothing. She sucked him off as she looked at the camera, giving a performance as opposed to displaying any chemistry with him. Johnny is one of the new studs on the block that a growing number of ladies seem to like, the rough edges of his performances still working out as he tries to break into the elite ranks of the super studs. Bree's hummer led to some vaginal penetration, the music thankfully stopping and a few positions showing she can easily ride a cock his side moving into an anal scene where she was far more passive as she rubbed herself. A little of that led to Johnny rubbing out a load of genetic juice to her sweet ass, Bree tasting it in what I would bill as a modest first scene that proved a director could indeed weaken a solid performer with the tack on technical matters.

Scene Two: Sasha Grey, the sleek brunette on the far right side of the front cover, was up next in the kitchen, her cool, seductive attitude as finely hones as any other performance in the industry at this writing. I wasn't keen on seeing her ribs and pelvic bones through her skin though thematically, it could have worked had someone off screen tossed her a cheeseburger. She also did a striptease in black lingerie, meeting up with Mr. Pete to suck him off with the benefit of her looking at him as she did so. He throat fucked her as he held her hair, the thumping music better suited for a drama but it also ended when the penetration began, Pete slapping Sasha's ass as he pounded her passive pussy. She egged him on too, coaxing him to go harder and stuff his cock in her mouth, between positions, the ice princess trying to get him to grudge fuck her. Pete eventually licked her snatch a little toward the end of the action, jerking off to her crotch for her to finger feed herself some of the population pudding.

Scene Three: Jenna Haze, the lithe young lady seen on the far left side of the cover, was up next as she teased on the stairs in her red lingerie, the lighting trying to invoke a different mood than the upbeat music. She shook her fanny and caressed herself a bit, the special effects used enough to make me want to slap whoever was adding them into the show. Jenna then walked over to the conveniently placed couch where James Deen was sitting, the smiling lad enjoying her lap dance more than a little bit. Jenna and James always seem to have some personal chemistry together and this scene was no exception to the rule, the playful vixen kissing him and touching him just the right way without overselling their connection. James caressed her back and tore off her thong, massaging her clitoris as she purred in delight, the couple kissing more passionately while she tried to dig his pecker out of his pants. Her strokes made him erect and she slobbed his knob so aggressively, the music stopped well before the penetration began, James then going down on her while she admittedly overacted. The vaginal screwing was modestly active here, Jenna providing a lot of dirty talk throughout the scene which ended in his pop shot launched across her torso.

Scene Four: Shyla Stylez, the curvy blond seen on the front cover between Bree and Sasha (her head half covered by Bree's outreached hand sadly enough), was up next as she showed the rest of the cast what a polished stripper could do during a tease. Her act was edited into Bree Olson's providing a similar experience (which might have just amounted to the edited portions of her previous strip act in scene one), Scott Nails wearing a business suit as he spread Bree's legs apart to go down on the young gal. While hardly a tribute to Shyla, Bree did look to be having a good time with Scott, the three of them merging as they felt each other up and engaged in oral sex without significant limits. Scott especially liked the taste of Shyla's ass and Shyla was fused to Bree's pussy, the resulting heat better than anything coming out of the first three scenes of the flick. The music thankfully stopped when the gals double teamed his meat pipe too, leading to an active vaginal ride by both (with Shyla going the extra mile for some enthusiastic anal). The pop shot landed on Shyla's great ass and the ladies kissed, the editing of the scene a bit on the weak side but an overall strokable scene.

Scene Five: Alexis Texas, the curvy Texan hotty seen on the front cover between Jenna and Bree (second from the left), was up last wearing red lingerie and shaking her body in a night scene. I was surprised there wasn't a lot of ass footage here since that has been her traditional strong point since entering the industry but the camera appeared less intrusive and clumsy, the lighting changing midway through to provide accurate fleshtones just before she was stuck working with moper Danny Mountain. Alexis shook her ass while sucking him off, the guy placing his hands behind his back like a scared boy while she wrapped her lips around his turgid member (Danny acting like a statue while she was as fluid as I've ever seen her). Alexis tried to generate some heat from the encounter but his stoic nature didn't help, her blowjob leading to her climbing onto his rod where she impaled herself on his cock looking really hot as her ass rippled. He just laid there like a mope though and other than a few slaps to her ass, the scene was all about her, Alexis eventually adding dirty talk to try and jumpstart his sorry ass. Summary: The F!ve by director Andre Madness for Adam & Eve greatly benefitted from the inclusion of a great package of extras that included a great compilation of Bree Olson scenes (twelve of them from Adam & Eve productions) but the movie itself was so over produced and underwhelming that it only merited a rating of Rent It from me on a generous day. If you are a new fan of Bree Olson though, the entirety of the package would make it worthy of "must have" status but I got the impression that the flick was made by a committee of people that could not agree on what they wanted, the compromises weakening the overall effort. In short, The F!ve was not one of those cases where the whole was as good as the sum of its parts but it merited a look all the same if you're a fan of lovely Bree Olson.
