Audio/Video Quality: Pussy A Go Go! was presented in an anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 ratio widescreen offering as shot by director Octavio Winkytiki/Arizala for Vivid (under their Alt label). If you're new to Octavio's works, it would help in knowing that he is one of those types of people that is very much into the visual look of a movie but willing to experiment "on the fly" in order to come up with things that no one has ever done before (or since). In real life, he is a talented mainstream photographer with an affable personality even grumpy old porn reviewers admit to liking, his actual movies sometimes hit or miss with me thematically. Shooting the flick with a tiny handheld camera, Octavio succeeded in bringing his vision of an improvised movie to life, admittedly with some rough technical edges that added to the raw way the show looked at times. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English with the 192 Kbps bitrate that has become the standard. The vocals seemed to be a bit on the hollow side to me in many scenes (not all though), largely due to the kind of sets that were used in the production of the movie. There was substantially more separation in the music and the dynamic range of that area (all added in post production of course) was a small improvement over past efforts by the director. The music was credited to Red Cavalier, Van Stone, Second Chance, and the One Eyed Tikis (with soundbites from sources such as "Carnival Story" from the Prelinger Archives).

Body of Review: Octavio Winkytiki/Arizala is one of the few experimental directors left at Vivid these days, perfering to shoot "something unexpected and different" than his peers that populate the industry as a whole. His latest title is Pussy A Go Go!, a reported "Prockumentary" (porn/rock documentary) that follows a burlesque show at a carnival as it tours the country. The look of the movie was oddly like some of those low budget mainstream movies from the late 1960's but the main drawing point here was how the sexual encounters were unscripted and generally pretty heated, the movie portions showing how some of the cast was destined for bigger things in life. The back cover described the movie like this: "Witness the TRUE story of THE PUSSY A GO GO, the longest running "Hoochie Koochie" show on the carnival circuit. Kitty Cadillac leads an all-star cast of thru the trials and tribulations of life on the road. Tensions flare and hard times hit when some of the new girls decide to earn a buck by giving the patrons more than their moneys worth! Still, when the going gets tough, you can rest assured that their loyal roadie "Rick" is always at hand to keep the show going. Thru good times and bad... you can bet that it's always a GO at THE PUSSY A GO-GO!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that some condoms were used for those still interested:

Kitty Cadillac

She was wearing a form of red lace pantyhose and a hoochie mama top as he pawed her, Evan (as "Rick") claiming she was a virgin because he'd seen her type before. She liked the bad boy and allowed him free access to her pussy, Evan rubbing it the right way as she moaned in pleasure, the improvised dialogue a bit weird at times but working towards the intended effect. Summary: Pussy A Go Go! by director Octavio Winkytiki/Arizala for Vivid might have been an acquired taste in many ways but as crazy as it might have been, the combination mockumentary/alternative offering was such that I watched it twice, laughing at times and getting hard during others, the music a bit uneven but way better than average for the thematic endeavor so I rated it as Recommended. In short, Pussy A Go Go! will not only appeal to the usual "alt-porn" crowd but those who are young (and young at heart) as well as those into music crossed with a documentary styled porno as only Winkytiki can provide.
