Extras: The cast list (on both discs) was helpful a few times but the best extra for most folks will be the 43:10 minute long bonus scene starring Adrianna Nicole, Annette Schwarz, and Ben English. It was toy heavy lesbian action at first, mostly anal action at that, but Annette as the subordinate all too willing to do anything to serve is always appreciated. There was no label as to whether or not this was taken from another title (a search at IAFD suggests it might be from "Deep Anal Abyss 1") but I suspect so since Annette hasn't been making porn in awhile (and she looked younger). There was then a 10:55 minute long Behind the Scenes show focusing largely on a single photoshoot of Aaliyah Jolie, then came an amusing 34:45 minute long Outtakes feature, 5:06 minutes of interviews dominated by Annette Schwarz, 50 seconds of Bloopers on the beach and on set, 6 photogalleries, some filmographies, three trailers on the first disc and website links. In all then, it was a well rounded package of extras worth bragging about.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal Buffet was presented in a solid looking 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jay Sin for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec for standard definition release (at 480p resolution). The bitrate was usually in the 3.4 Mbps range but the basic lighting covered the action fairly well so there were not a lot of shadows around during the scenes. The flesh tones were slightly too saturated and the composition of the shots was not always the best for the ladies but the anal tricks that so fascinated director Jay Sin were obviously the most important thing to capture for him; the wacky fun a bit much at times for my sensibilities. Still, the action was clearly recorded and the raw energy of the cast was caught better than I expected; making it a decent looking fuck flick in most ways. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; the lack of separation and dynamic range meaning the audio was a bit flatter than hoped for. It was low end audio for the most part but given the gonzo niche of the movie, this is to be expected. The musical interludes were pretty decent though and added to the fun but they did not last long for those who care.

Body of Review: Jay Sin is the butt loving director most people have discovered since he signed on to be distributed by Evil Angel awhile back. He really gets up and into the backsides of anally talented women so it makes sense he would release a title called Anal Buffet: Special 2 Disc Set earlier this year. One would think that any assortment of hot ass chicks doing all sorts of circus act sex tricks with toys and cocks would automatically merit an extremely high rating but in my experience, not all such movies live up to the hype so I gave this one a long, hard look before reviewing it the other day. The company website described it like this: "Jay Sin's anus-obsessed movies are renowned for their focus on sensual girl/girl rimming and unbelievably hot chicks doing impossible tricks with their stretchable rectums, often shot against stark white backgrounds which offset the bold, vivid, colorful wardrobes and sexy styling of his talented models. Anal Buffet continues this tradition, with the addition of plenty of fat cocks inserted deep into assholes and lots of nasty ass-to-mouth action. This 2-disc set has a 43-minute bonus scene (with maid Annette Schwarz getting thoroughly used by Adrianna Nicole and Ben English, the lady and lord of the manor), six photo galleries, and 52 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes, interviews and bloopers... plus Jay Sin trailers." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Bobbi Starr, a brunette widely considered to be one of the best anal performers at this writing, was up first as she opened her toy box to reveal toys that were larger than life (and I mean that literally!), nearly as long as her arm and as wide as her wrist or more. Scene Four: Harmony, a wild eyed blond with some black latex as her clothing, was up next as the first scene of the second disc, spouting off about all the nasty things she wanted to do in front of Chris Charming, Marco Banderas, and Criss Strokes, who were patiently sitting on the couch. Summary: Anal Buffet by director Jay Sin for Evil Angel was a lot of fun but I was unable to gather screen captures from the disc on my computer on either copy of it I was sent so I rated it as Recommended. The casting was great and the action often fun but there was a lot of repetition in terms of the way the asses were played with, the tease, and the often passive screwing, especially anal, weakening it more than a little for me. Still, taken in small doses the movie worked well enough, the crisp sunlight enhancing the visual qualities like the package of extras did for me. In short, Anal Buffet: Special 2 Disc Set had some minor technical issues worth discussion but it had a lot of good, old fashioned anal play too so it was worth checking out.
