Audio/Video Quality: Lexington Steele XXX #11 was presented in anamorphic widescreen at 1.78:1 as shot by director Lexington Steele for Mercenary Pictures in this MPEG-2 encoded, 480p resolution, effort. The company is not generally known for its technical expertise (except, perhaps, the Jimmy Scaffnetti titles), but there did appear to be an attempt to handle things properly here by the three videographers credited (Lex, Tina Tyler, and Mario Rossi). The show appears to have been captured by a single fluidly moving camera (with all the tradeoffs associated with that choice), the camera itself appearing to have less resolution, especially under lower lighting circumstances, but easy enough to handle during the throes of passion, some POV material used but not as much as the Pole Position series. The video bitrate varied substantially but when I spot checked it, the results showed to be in the 4.4 Mbps area a lot (sometimes higher, sometimes lower). The audio was presented in the standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate. The vocals were generally easily heard, the director appearing to use the microphone attached to the camera and sticking close to them, sacrificing the medium and long shots to do so but the aural qualities of the voices were okay. There was no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was minimal but my biggest complaint was the inclusion of an ongoing, generic music track in the background (it got better with time as I learned to tune it out).

The technical matters could have been better polished up (especially, but not limited to, scene three) and the extras could have been enhanced but it was still a decent outing by the performer-turned-director. In short, Lexington Steele XXX #11 benefitted greatly by the inclusion of Sarah Vandella, Trina Michaels, and Nyomi Banxxx, Alexis Texas adding some value too for the fans even though she did not work with Lex this time so check it out.
