The Movie:
To be honest, I had low expectations for POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck. History hasn't been kind to non-porn directors (or rather non-porn non-directors in Spock Buckon's case) trying to cross over to make porn films. While I enjoy the short videos on Popporn.com I had a hard time imagining how they'd translate to a full blown porn.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck is a lot better than I expected. The film manages to capture a lot of the fun and antics of the Popporn crew while at the same time being an engaging and stimulating porn. A lot of the credit here probably needs to be heaped on Mike Quesar who seems to have shepparded the Popporn crew through their first production.
But what works so well with POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck is Spock Buckton, not only is Spock a likable guy but his jovial whit seems to be contagious and results in scenes where the performers seem to be having a really good time. This turns POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck into a nearly three hour romp with great sex with performers having a blast and a fun story that stitches it all together.
Courtney Cummz & Marcos Banderas
I really liked the first scene with Courtney Cummz and Marcos Banderas. Courtney's oral work was exceptional and the chemistry between her and Marcos is great. The transition from oral to fucking is hot and her anal work is spot on.

Buckton confuses Strong with Erik Everhard who would have been an even better choice for this scene. But it peaks well and Kimberly looks like she's intent on getting off here one way or another.

Giana Michaels and Mick Blue:
My second favorite scene of the film. Giana and Mick Blue are both fantastic performers who often don't get the kudos they deserve. Giana is fantastic here, I love her oral work and Mick's Titfuck. But it still works well and results in a good scene.

Audio & Video: POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck looks and sounds fantastic. The images are all clean, clear and crisp. Each scene is well lit and shot. The image is so clean that it's very close to high def (hopefully they'll put out a Blu-Ray edition of this film as well, as that would be even more stunning). Sound is solid with a musical score written by the Popporn crew. I love a scene between Spock and Dane Cross debating about POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck vs. The Office parody.

Tased! - Behind the Scenes on Popporn's First Porno Movie - 15 minute long look at the making of the film. It's a combination of some of the kind of stuff you see in the short videos on Popporn.com and a pretty conventional making of (including photo shoots/etc). A lot of time is spent talking about the tazer.
Bloopers - 14 solid minutes of bloopers. If you had any doubt just how much fun the crew had making this film this is proof of how a fun set can lead to a good porn. Loved the several takes where Spock gets spurted by Deen. It runs almost as a mini film and is extremely fun.
Cum Shot Recap - a pretty standard recap of the cum shots (except it's missing the 2nd one with Deen and Buckton).
Photo gallery - again pretty standard. A good amount of photos per scene.
Bonus Scene - Spock Buckton in a bathtub reading a Captain America comic to Kimberly Kane who is dressed in a hot pink latex dress and plays with scissors. She gives Spock a sexy beard trim (and tops him). She can make even a beard trim oddly sexy. Wait did I just fucking write a scene with Spock is sexy... Oh god.
Stevie Heart Solo Scene - this bonus scene isn't just a sex scene, it fits into the general vibe of the rest of the film. I'm not a huge fan of solo scenes but I like this one. The scene really heats up when Stevie Heart gets a vibrator. This is a girl who obviously enjoys getting off and she's as intent on cumming here as having a good scene. The scene runs 9 mins.
Popporn.com Interviews - sixteen minuets of interviews of Bobbi Star, Faye Regan, Courtney Cummz done for the Popporn.com site. They aren't related to the film exactly but they are entertaining.
Final Thoughts: The first effort from Popporn is much better than I expected. As a spoof POPPORN: The Guide to Making Fuck is fun, funny and entertaining. The humor hits its mark and the fun tone carries through the entire film (even the sex scenes). I enjoyed the cameo from Nina Hartley but would have loved to seen more action between her and Spock Buckton. Buckton doesn't 'perform' in this film, but I think it's a line he's going to have to cross in future endeavors. A mini scene with Giana would have been fantastic.
As a porn the film delivers. Of the 6 sex scenes 3 of them were exceptional, 2 very good and 1 that I felt was a little lacking. Courtney Cummz, Marcos Banderas, James Deen, Lexi Belle, Giana and Mick Blue all deliver top level sex and with a nearly three hour running time there's more than enough fuck for the buck to give this film a Highly Recommend rating.
It nearly misses our top rating due to the girl/girl scene and the final threesome. Also if any film I've seen in a while needed an audio commentary - this would be it.
While my expectations for the first Popporn movie was pretty low, my expectations for the next will be pretty high. They've delivered at a pretty high level for their debut and I expect great things from them in the future.
