There was more nudity, additional sex, and some of the rough edges encountered in the making of a porno. Audio/Video Quality: Tunnel Butts 3 was presented in an anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen color the movie was shot in by director Chris "Raul Christian" Rolie for Jules Jordan Video in the MPEG-2 codec used for standard definition releases (including 480i resolution). There was some variation in the lighting that added additional grain but I saw a few other issues as the camera kept an active stance at providing the best angles to showcase the ladies (the shaking camera bugging me a bit more than I liked). The editing did not help in this endeavor either with a movie as long as this one needing extra care to make sure that there is enough tease but also heated sexual antics, my initial impression being that there was less tease footage than usual which admittedly hurt the rating. The bitrate was on the low side (probably due to the single disc nature of the production) yet there were few obvious compression artifacts, the aliasing minimal and given the sheer amount of quality footage on display, most fans will be quite happy; Raul advertising this one as having "100% USA Content". The bitrate hovered all over the place this time, higher than usual with most of the movie in the 4.6 Mbps range, but varying across the board depending on the scene. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering that really didn't use any separation in terms of the vocals (there was some potential to do so here too). The dynamic range was also kind of generic, an area that seemed slightly better than earlier efforts and an area that Raul could easily improve to make best use of the great many home theaters in the hands of porn fans everywhere.

Body of Review: Chris "Raul Christian" Rolie is one of the edgier and less polished directors distributed by Jules Jordan Video these days but that doesn't mean his approach to capturing sex on camera is any less interesting for fans. Generally speaking, he interacts very vocally to tell the cast what to do and even participates some of the time, pushing the ladies to go to extremes as he caters to a core audience of hardcore raincoaters. His latest title making it to me is Tunnel Butts 3, the sequel to Tunnel Butts 2, this time employing new hotties such as Missy Stone and Emma Cummings, retired gals like Andi Anderson, and welcome mainstays of the anal circuit like Katja Kassin. Aside from the promise that all the action was "100% USA Content", the gals all embraced their inner anal whore too, taking cock up the ass like they were thrilled to be there rather than just opening their backdoors for additional pay. The men were part of the problem here but even the ladies seemed to be wishing for a better situation, the limited extras not helping much at all. In short, Tunnel Butts 3 had a couple of appealing performances worthy of checking out but the director has offered up much better work in the past, something about this one seemingly rushed to make it a bit of an average stroke flick to watch a time or two and then move on.
