Extras: My favorite related extra was the 15:27 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Shylar Cobi. The footage was surprisingly light on showcasing Nikki Jayne but all the ladies got some camera time, the lotioning Alexis Texas really hot. There was then a sort of highlight reel from five scenes on the SD version of the release, lasting 25:28 minutes and showing some of the best parts of the action (scene clips from Damaged Goods, The Nikki Jayne Experiment, Strip Tease, Sugar Town, and Touch Me). The Blu-ray version included two scenes: The Nikki Jayne Experiment (10:12 minutes) and Touch Me (10:14 minutes), still edited but in high definition to look even better. There was then a biography for Nikki Jayne, some trailers, spam, and a photogallery (the Blu-ray dropping the minimalist stuff though, just offering the photogallery).

Audio/Video Quality: Centerfolds Exposed was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec in 480p resolution for the SD version and the 1080i/VC-1 codec for the superior looking Blu-ray version. For those unfamiliar with his background, suffice it to say that his experience outside of porn is superior to many inside the industry and it shows up in his movies, including this one as it was shot in 1080i high definition (using those handheld Canon's Skow favors to provide fluid movement), making the Blu-ray version of it look much better. The editing was nicely done by "TBird Meadows", and post production was again handled by Kyle Caruso. The composition of the camera angles was generally optimal to capture the raw energy of the scenes but frequently required shooting into the light causing color saturation issues, giving it a similar look than many of Skow's previous showcase efforts. The fleshtones were accurate and the DVD mastering was well done (if only in a bitrate hovering around 3.4 Mbps in SD and 14.1 Mbps in the high definition Blu-ray), giving it some appealing visual quality; leaning towards above-average (if on the low side for Skow himself). There was a company watermark that I wasn't too keen on but most of the camera work seemed to keep this in mind, keeping the majority of action far away from the lower right hand corner. I really preferred the high definition version this time, the problems with the technical aspects mitigated somewhat but I will go on record as preferring the director's more polished efforts over the various experiments he tried here. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. For some reason, the levels were about the same as usual but aside from the added background noise, the dynamic range was average and the separation of the vocal track nonexistent. For an all sex vignette though, it was a sufficient soundtrack with minimalist leanings most of you will appreciate over loud generic music found elsewhere.

Body of Review: B. Skow is rapidly growing popular as a director for Vivid Entertainment, his showcase efforts such that every woman he focuses on becomes more appealing. This is not a new phenomenon either, the director largely responsible for enhancing the stature of Lanny Barby back a few years ago. His latest title making it my way is no different in that sense either, the movie called Centerfolds Exposed (SD & Blu-ray) and starring uber hotty Nikki Jayne. The six scenes of the movie included three starring Nikki but also three others with performers such as Alexis Texas, Tori Black, and Chayse Evans so going in to watching the movie, I felt strongly that this would be a top flight offering, especially in the high definition Blu-ray version. The back cover said it like this: "Have you ever wondered what goes on at a high profile photo shoot? Let CENTERFOLDS EXPOSED answer all your questions. Director B. Skow takes you behind the scenes with six top models who bare it all for a camera. Be there when they apply their make-up, put on their clothes, and best of all, when they take them off. And as the lights lights heat up heat up the set, the girls heat up the shoot and the session goes porno! With superstars like Nikki Jayne, Tori Black and Chayse Evans all trying to out-nasty each other!
