Extras: For many of you, the two bonus scenes from the Anal Expedition series will be the best extras, including Anal Expedition 5 (29:39 minutes), and Anal Expedition 7 (25:34 minutes); both described below. I enjoyed the 48:04 minute long Behind the Scenes feature even more though because it was related to the actual production (there was a lot to enjoy here folks). There was a cumshot recap, five photogalleries, some trailers, a cast list, and filmographies too.

Audio/Video Quality: Phat Bottom Girls was presented in a nice 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec for the standard definition release with 480p resolution. The colors were accurate as could be thanks to strong lighting and steady camera work, even the editing solid compared to some of his older titles. The level of detail was also a strong point with the ladies all looking very appealing given the lighting in most cases though it was too harsh at times, the minimal compression artifacts not greatly impacting the overall quality of the visual elements much. The video bitrate hovered on the low end, often in the 2.8 Mbps area or so, the show pretty solid most of the time in spite of the bitrate. In short, whatever technical limitations were present was not erection killing even if a guy like me wants significant improvement. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the 192 Kbps and 48 kHz sampling rate; sounding average compared to the video as all the gals could be heard (though the lack of separation and limited dynamic range could also be worked on).

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara is probably the most popular male performer-turned-director at Evil Angel. This is my experience having watched scores of his flicks and talked to even more people in the industry, so the guy generally elevates the quality of any scene he is in with regard to chemistry and energy. I originally missed out on getting a copy of Phat Bottom Girls: Special Set when it came out earlier this year but lucked out when a second one was shipped so I now report to you a second review on the title for your perusal. The movie is a selection of five brand new scenes starring ladies with ripe, round rumps, a couple of older bonus scenes tossed in on the second disc to elevate the replay value and amount of fuck for the buck. With names like Alexis Texas, Kelly Divine, and Ava Rose leading the pack of hotties (not to dismiss Katie Cummings, Isis Taylor, or Toni Sweets by any means), each of them working with premium studs, most of them including Manuel himself. The company website described the movie like this: "Manual Ferrara's latest release is a booty-worshipping, multi-ethnic gonzo fuckfest filmed on the grounds of the award-winning French stud's Southern California mansion, where every huge, bikini-bottomed female ass ends up drenched in oil, as well as poked and prodded by Manual and his big-dicked buddies." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Ava Rose

Scene One: Katie Cummings, the gal with the fleshy ass spreading her cheeks on the upper middle of the DVD cover, was up first, her pink and white polka dot shorts enhancing her curvy rump in a major way as she walked outside on the cloudy day. Alexis stayed out by the pool to tease some more though, Manuel wise enough to stick by her side even with the wind noise and low flying planes weakening the audio track. Bonus Scene: Anal Expedition 7: Flower is an attractive blonde babe with a hot body. She made a brief appearance in the beginning of the last scene. Summary: Phat Bottom Girls by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel was one of those few titles earning a rating of Highly Recommended based on strokability, replay value, and sheer amount of fuck for the buck thanks to a wealth of booty babes so keenly selected to make this a winner. The unique extras were pretty solid with the better part of an hour spent on the BTS and two popular scenes from the older series Manuel used to direct, the chemistry and enthusiasm enhancing the outcome nicely. In short, Phat Bottom Girls: Special Set was the kind of movie that Manuel excels at, the kind where he is in most of the scenes and enjoying the women as much as they are enjoying him, not a single scene qualifying as filler material here.
