Extras: The best extra for most fans will be the COMPLETE bonus scene from All Dressed Up, the company wisely trying this new tact as suggested by a particular reviewer for years now (cough!) rather than edited or horribly compressed scenes. It lasted 28:59 minutes and appeared to be the full scene described below, I hope the company chooses to go this route until they are ready to provide all original bonus scenes. In any case, there was also a set of trailers, a photogallery, and a 3:36 minute long Behind the Scenes feature (that started off with golfer Alex Gonz breaking a window before moving forward to a bathing scene and some photoshoot material of Monique in a bad mood).

Audio/Video Quality: Play With Me was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec in 480i resolution. For those unfamiliar with his background, suffice it to say that his experience outside of porn is superior to many inside the industry and it shows up in his movies, including this one as shot in 1080i/60 high definition, though presented in the SD format (for now) using 1080i to provide a lot of resolution. The lighting was well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore their sexuality. The composition of the camera angles and lighting were almost always optimal this time, Skow seeing fit to try and enhance the look of the ladies at every turn as possible, Fletcher Martin editing the raw footage quite well. The fleshtones were accurate too and the DVD mastering was well done (if only in a bitrate hovering around 4.3 Mbps), making it a mixed bag in terms of visual quality; leaning towards above average though the company watermark will be bothersome to many out there. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. For some reason, the levels were about the same as usual but aside from the added background noise, the dynamic range was average and the separation of the vocal track nonexistent.

Body of Review:  Vivid Entertainment has been on a renaissance kick in recent years, their acquisition of director B. Skow certainly saving them from oblivion with his keen eye, steady hand, and appreciation of extensive amounts of sex in his work over the alternative (another company director preferring the dialogue portions with less sex interestingly enough). His latest release comes from the unreleased vaults, a minor league showcase starring Monique Alexander in Play With Me. The movie was a four scene, all sex flick with Monique gracing two scenes, the emphasis on lengthy bouts of boning and extensive tease helping to keep it interesting to me. The back cover described the title like this: "If you love Monique, you'll love Play With Me, with its three-ways, facials and all the teasing your nuts can handle. Then when it comes time to handle nuts, no one does it like slutty little Monique and her nasty little friends Veronique, Scarlett and Courtney. It's a tease-to-please, no-story, fuck-fest, done only as B. Skow can. And only as Monique will. Play it..." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Monique Alexander, the sexy former contract performer featured on the front cover, was up first with Alex Gonz on a patio outside a small home, her thong beckoning him to come play with her. They did not appear to have much chemistry this time, a fact probably attributed to some drama going on behind the scenes but Monique still managed to give a professional performance all the same. Scene Two: Veronique Vega, a lean Latina with a nice smile and welcoming body, was up next on the second story porch wearing her bikini undies to tease in. The animal print looked good on her and she seemed to enjoy being watched, the gal doing a little masturbation before ending up inside with the Mighty Evan Stone and moper Ramon Nomar. She alternated between sucking them off and seemed to realize spending the lion's share of her efforts on Evan made the most sense, some POV camera angle action tossed in for good measure. Once she was through concentrating her efforts on blowing the men, they took turns poking her pussy, Veronique still willing to give the men head though not in as focused a manner. She was an active rider though and never slowed down, amounting to a highlight in the movie even if she lacked the name recognition of Monique. The scene ended when her puffy pussy was all swollen and she took two facials, the guys trying to rub out additional loads to little avail.

Scene Three: Courtney James and Scarlett Fay, a couple of youthful ladies bathing in a bathtub, were up next as they made out while getting clean. The slow caresses and believable kissing certainly helped elevate this scene too, from the body oils applied to the manner in which they took their sweet time becoming acquainted. My only complaint initially was how much attention was paid to the camera instead of the partner but that all changed when the scene went into full boning mood courtesy of Ben English. The gals moved to the bed to service him orally and he played with them in return, the ladies sharing him slowly during the oral as well as during their modestly active vaginal rides. One thing to note other than the way the camera was again being paid attention too was how the gals always were in motion doing something with him or each other to enhance the final outcome. The scene also ended with a shared facial for those that care, the pacing nicely handled for those of you into more erotically charged scenes.

Scene Four: Monique Alexander, up last as she teased in her slinky black dress that left little to the imagination, provided one of the best teases of the entire show by hanging out at the stair railing, bending over and stripping to reveal her assets. I loved the way her ass and labia looked here, her pouty face showing some emotion but not the kind one necessarily expects Monique catching herself to turn it back into a sexual thing. The tease then led her up the stairs where she met Voodoo in bed, the two engaging in a 69 to warm each other up. The single camera approach did not work as well here as in other portions of the movie, even the editing unable to tidy it up completely, but they both gave what was expected of them in a mechanical manner, vaginally plowing on a semi-active basis until the ending unleashed his population pudding into her mouth. Beside the extensive and intermittent oral, the vaginal sex was not bad here, it just lacked some of the heat needed for staying power.

Bonus Scene: All Dressed Up: Monique Alexander, this time dressed up as a stripper nurse, was up next as eye candy wearing the slightest of thongs, her outfit matching the one on the cover. The colors were slightly saturated here so the technical values were a bit more off than expected, her ass cheeks quite inviting as she bent over the dining room table. Fans of camel toes will be impressed by her panties too but she seemed to be more into the action this time, perhaps having something for James Deen who she was partnered up with. He went down on her with less enthusiasm but the manner in which she looked into his eyes spoke volumes, clutching her nipples as she savored the moment of his oral attentions. She also showed extra care during her blowjob, his smaller cock working in her favor as she engulfed his rod orally. The blowjob did not last long though as she was clearly turned on and wanting him inside of her, bouncing on the pecker as it dove deep inside of her. The aggressive ride alone was worth watching the movie for and I was half surprised that she did not do anal with him as a result. The scene finished up when he jerked off a wad of spew to her body, the initial stream hitting her mouth and going all along her torso. Whew!

Summary: Play With Me by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment was certainly not one of his best works, Monique coming across as a bit uptight and cold compared to most of her better movies. The technical matters and extras were decent if minimal too so I rated this one as a Rent It for anyone not completely enamored with Monique Alexander, completists probably considering her work here as a "must have" despite the stated limitations mentioned above. In all, Play With Me had some strokable smut and was a pretty good fuck flick but from my point of view, it lacked the staying power and replay value needed to keep this one in a collection for any but the most hardcore of fans so check it out before dropping a lot of cash on it.
