Audio/Video Quality: Green Card Cuties 1 was presented in 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Jim Powers for Immoral Productions and released in standard definition using the MPEG-2 codec with 480i resolution. Immoral Productions is still a fairly new concern but with Jim at the helm, I was willing to check out what they came up with, the title a near parody of the recent Sandra Bullock flick. The fleshtones were occasionally accurate (lots of tint issues due to lighting) and the ladies were shown clearly, the "on the run" style of the scenes in line with the theme of the show. The bitrate hovered around the mid 4.6 Mbps range when I spot checked it but I did not get the sense that the specs made much of a difference this time. There was a lot of wild camera work that weakened the production, Jim always going for raw energy over technical finesse, but the close ups dominated much of the action and that weakened the context of some shots a lot. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 48 kHz sampling rate and the usual 192 Kbps audio bitrate. There wasn't any noticed separation but the vocals were clearly heard, even the limited English skills of the foreign narrator.

Body of Review: Jim Powers and "Porno Dan" Leal comprise Immoral Productions, a company starting to make waves thanks to their admittedly politically incorrect humor as much as anything. Dan's own directing efforts in the past are most notably his traveling titles where he shot various mopes boning gals across the globe so it made sense that he would get Jim's dark humor in on a show like Green Card Cuties 1 where a gal narrates the willingness of women from all over Europe to defile themselves sexually for the chance at snagging a green card trip to the USA. The five scenes were not well labeled and most of the sex included copious amounts of anal but it should be noted that after the initial humor of the narrator telling the audience what kind of life the gal had (most likely a fictitious biography by the way), the scenes were just generic fucking with no exchange between the partners, none of the males credited (though I recognized some of them). The company website described the movie like this: "Jim Powers and Porno Dan have teamed up to bring you their newest reality-based series, "Green Card Cuties." Dan and Jim brought their pack of immoral buddies to Berlin to fuck Eastern European sluts. Watch these future concubines attempt to earn their Green Cards by trying to fuck their way to the USA. This first volume features some of the sexiest Eastern European women you will ever see fuck on film give it their all. They do their damndest in an attempt to convince lucky American guys they are worthy of bringing back to the USA. Summary: Green Card Cuties 1 by director Jim Powers for Immoral Productions showed some minor promise for those that enjoyed Jim's work at JM Productions and Dan's irreverent style in his on the road touring titles of the past but it fell short of the mark this time. There were no extras, minimal credits, and the running time was about half what most such titles offer up at the same price, the pairings showing little chemistry (if any) and mostly just amounting to European porn shot on the fly for as little money as possible. Still, if you enjoy seeing lean but modestly attractive (at best) women getting plowed as they earned a living, it was worthy of a Rent It, just set your expectations low this time or you'll be disappointed.
