Audio/Video Quality: Excellent. I can't pinpoint anything with either the audio or video that annoyed me. The fact it's shot in high definition means it looks awesome on my new tv.

Introduction

The promos at the beginning of this dvd really, really annoy me. Midori's introduction to the DVD is good. She goes over what bondage can mean to different people and what it can improve in a relationship. She goes over how communication before hand is important, springing bondage on a partner is never the best approach. She really goes over communication techniques, which I appreciate. Safe words are gone over as well as signals. I've used a dog squeaky toy before, it worked well, though Midori suggests dropping keys. Restraint & blindfold safety is gone over.  She also suggests yoga & stretching before bondage. AND always keep safety scissors. For those that are newer to bondage, she goes over some more wallet friendly alternatives to what can be very pricey equipment. I'm glad that Midori says that metal handcuffs are a bad idea.

The Lesson

Midori heads to the bedroom where Adrianna & Mark are waiting in bed ready for lessons. Midori goes over how to make your bedroom bondage ready. It's decided that Penny will be the top. I like Adrianna, I think she's very attractive and enjoy watching Mark tie her up. There are a lot of varying types of restraints shown using simply scarves. Midori also gets out ready-made restraints and shows some varying types of position.

Adrianna & Mark

After the lesson we get to see Adrianna and mark hook up. It's narrated by Midori, but a non narrated version is available in the bonus features. Mark does a great job of going down on Adrianna. She appears genuinely into it and I enjoy the fact she gets pleasured first. And he keeps pleasuring her using his mouth, fingers, slapping. This is one of my favorite scenes mostly because so few scenes in heterosexual porn seem to focus entirely on the woman's pleasure for more than a few seconds. After awhile it's Mark's turn to get pleasured. Adrianna gives as much of a blow job as she can restrained then Mark puts a collar and leash on her.  Adrianna then goes down on mark collared with her hands restrained behind her and then restrained in various other positions. Adrianna looks like she's really struggling at points and I don't see her safety item anywhere, which sort of goes against the principle of the DVD. Finally Mark penetrates her in varying positions. Wide bondage belts are also used when he takes off the wrist & ankle ones. The only downfall of this scene is Mark's orgasm. He counts it down and then sounds like an animal hunting. Not hot to me, but then again I don't find Mark attractive. For a top I wish mark would have been more vocal, though I did enjoy this scene.

Madison  & Danny

We go straight into their scene with them vigorously making out. I find both of them visually appealing so I'm excited about the scene. Like the previous scene, Midori narrates over the scene occasionally but an not narrated version is available in the bonus scenes. They discuss a safe word immediately, bringing in the safety principles Midori went over. It appears Danny is going to be top, though I was sort of hoping there'd be at least one female top in this video. Danny ties Madison to the door using ready made over the door restraints. Danny teases Madison for awhile before she goes down on her knees, hands behind her back and gives Danny a blow job. She's fun to watch, and that's saying a lot because I usually hate watching blow jobs. Danny penetrates Madison with her bending over, using the wall for support, unrestrained. He starts pulling her hair, but it feels more like a Rough Sex tutorial at this point then restraints.

After awhile they go to the bed where I'm elated to see Madison tying Danny up using scarves.  The blow job ensues. Madison fucks Danny, blows Danny, fucks Danny, and vice versa. She actually puts a restraint on Danny's cock and attaches it to a leash to use while going down on him. She straddles his face at one point in time which I find incredibly hot. Madison eventually unties Danny and it's his turn to restrain her. Madison's hitachi & Danny's dick induced screaming seems genuine. Then Danny puts on the Midori Scarf Harness on with the Hitachi attached.

The Midori Scarf Harness- Best tutorial on this DVD in my opinion. I've tried this and it's going to take some more practice, but this scarf harness is quite simply awesome.

Safer Sex- This always makes me smile and cry at the same time. The fact is that most porn performers do not practice safer sex in all of their scenes. So this Safer Sex tutorial is useful, but Vivid Ed doesn't practice what it preaches.

Final Thoughts:

Midori's Expert Guide to Sensual Bondage directed by Tristan Taormino has more than met my expectations. It is not only educational, but hot as hell to watch. My favorite scene of the two was the first. Finding a scene that really focuses on the pleasure on the woman is a hard thing to find. All performers genuinely seem into the sex they're having even though it is an educational DVD. Speaking of educational, you actually can learn something. I'm more experienced in bondage, but even I was elated to learn about the Midori scarf harness. I'm saying XCritic Pick.
