Synopsis

I'm Dreaming of Genie is an amusing little comedy spoof of the classic I Dream of Jeannie TV show. Jessica Lynn plays Jeannie, Alec Knight is Major Nelson, and Dr. Bellows is played by Otto Bauer.

The plot revolves around Major Nelson being picked as one of the first NASA astronauts to go to Mars. Jeannie, worried about her master's safety, uses her magic powers to make him fail his physical so that he won't be able to go on such an arduous--and lengthy--mission. Jeannie's magic succeeds too well! Major Nelson does so poorly on his exam that NASA physician Dr. Bellows decides to recommend that Nelson be discharged from the space program. Since this is a porn flick, sexual encounters punctuate the plot development. The storyline is quite cute, but the porn stars and studs are not quite up to the job of bringing it to life. Although Jessica Lynn looks and acts like Barbara Eden (who played Jeannie years ago) and is dressed quite appropriately, she delivers some pretty stilted dialog. Most of the other players are much better fucks than actors. The exception, of course, is Lee Stone. He is one of my favorite swordsmen. And, he does a nice job delivering his lines, too.

The sets are uneven in quality. Scene One unfolds in a plot-appropriate dungeon set. Scene Two, which is supposed to be in a high-tech NASA examination room, is set in a shabby gym. Scene Three occurs in a very appropriate "throne room" while Scene Four is set in a very ordinary living room.

On the other hand, the wardrobe, makeup, and hairstyles are right-on throughout the movie. I really liked the genie outfits (Jessica, Harmony, and Trina look hotter than hell in their outfits) and the mistress gear worn by Asa Akira and Jessica Bangkok.

The sex unfolds in four agreeably-longer-than-average scenes. Three of the encounters are boy/girl/girl (what sweeter sex can there be?) and one is a conventional boy/girl coupling. There's anal and vaginal sex and mild bondage/domination, too. Two of the scenes (One and Three) are so fucking good that they earned more than five points on my five-point scale. The other two scenes are marginal, however.

Overall, I'm Dreaming of Genie is a worthwhile watch. It's fun, Jessica is as cute a genie as you'll ever see, and two of the sex scenes are extraordinarily good. So, I recommend it to you.

When one girl is getting fucked, the other generally spends most of her time masturbating instead of participating with the others. I would have preferred more "love-train" or "love triangle" action...like the positions used by the trios in Scenes One and Three. Don't get me wrong...there is threeway action Just not enough, in my opinion.
• There's a very unwelcome and quite amateurish edit during missionary sex. Just as Daisy was about to cum, the action cut away. What a shame!
• Many of the camera movements are jerky and abrupt.
• There are some low-light (too dark) sequences.

What I Didn't Like:

• After the girls cumswap, they spit out Alec's semen. That, in my opinion, is a mortal sin and cause for a half-point penalty.

Extras

The DVD-9 disc I reviewed contains a full-motion chapter selector that allows you to jump to the scene's introduction, oral sex, sex, or cum shot; multiple chapters per scene; a seven and one-half-minute self-running slide show accompanied by "I Dream of Jeannie-like" music; a nearly four-minute-long cumshot reel so you can savor all the money shots in one quick sitting; and a 35-minute-long behind-the-scenes (BTS) look at the making of I'm Dreaming of Genie. The BTS includes looks at the special effects (Jeannie's "blinking" magic action, the smoking "Genie in a bottle," and so forth); footage of Jessica, dressed in her hot genie outfit, doing stereotypical "genie" actions; behind-the-camera looks at the shooting of dialog sequences; footage of the cast and crew planning and rehearsing their scenes; bloopers/outtakes; footage of the make-up, wardrobe, and hairstyling; on-set tomfoolery; random shots of beautifully naked chicks; and video of the pretty girl and hard still photo shoots. This selection of extras is about average in today's marketplace. Three stars. 

Final Thoughts

The best things about I'm Dreaming of Genie include:

• Scenes One and Three. Asian mistresses Asa Akira and Jessica Bangkok make Jenner's domination/submission dream cum true on many levels in Scene One. Lee Stone has more fun than any genie should be allowed to have with his slave girls Harmony and Trina in Scene Three.
• the wardrobe. The girls' outfits are especially appropriate to the theme of the movie and/or the scene. The mistress outfits in Scene One are extremely sexy; the genie outfits are not only beautiful but also mimic the style of clothing worn by Jeannie in the classic sitcom; and, the nurse and NASA uniforms are authentic-looking, too.
• Jessica Lynn plays an adorable "Jeannie." She has the "genie" look and body movements down pat. And, her body is to-die-for.
• the emphasis on boy/girl/girl threesomes. There's just something fucking right about two girls sharing a guy...especially when the girls are Asa and Jessica Bangkok, Harmony and Trina, or Jessica Lynn and Daisy Marie.
• the casting of the performers. I think director Jordan Septo did a very nice job choosing the cast of characters and paired the girls nicely for the boy/girl/girl scenes.

I'm Dreaming of Genie could have been better if:

• better sets had been used in Scenes Two and Four.
• Jessica Lynn delivered her lines in a more professional way.
• Jessica Lynn, Daisy Marie, and Phoenix Marie climaxed during their scenes.
• there had been a bit more anal sex.
• the camerawork had been more professional. In particular, the camera motions should have been a bit more fluid, smooth, and stable; the editing could have been more effective; and the lighting could have been more consistent and flattering to the girls' flesh tones. In addition, there's an overuse of trite oblique camera angles that make it appear as if the performers are about to slide off the screen.

Things I didn't like about I'm Dreaming of Genie include:

• Otto's neglect of cunnilingus in Scene Two.
• the unfortunate choice of Jessica Lynn and Daisy Marie to spit out Alec Knight's semen in Scene Four.
