Extras: For some of you, the 26:54 minute bonus scene from Lipstick N' Lingerie (a Platinum X Picture release by the way) starring Lauren Phoenix, Claudio Meloni, and Michael Stefano, will be the best extra. Audio/Video Quality: Big Ass Fixation 5 was presented in a 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480i resolution). The camera work mixed it up this time with a bit of tease footage taken inside the house, including some quality time of the ladies in skimpy outfits or naked, but much of it out by Tom's pool where the lighting was better too. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 4.1 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene provided solid flesh tones that appeared to be accurate as Craig Daze and Tom worked the cameras. The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the picture not always optimal (looking better this time though) but as far as Tom's work is concerned, it was shot with the ladies in mind; making the gals look their best for the most part or at least as much as the point of view style he employed could make them. The editing was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor so I would say it was about average in most respects.

Body of Review: Tom Byron is a director that has stood the test of time in porn, outlasting a great many of his peers over the years while he shot scenes he wanted to shoot rather than chase the crowds. For the most part, this attitude has served him well as he provides significant hits in the MILF market, salad tossing market, and even the market serving fans of ripe, round rumps. It is that market that I cared about today as I review Big Ass Fixation 5, the title providing five of the firmest big butted ladies in porn, including Phoenix Marie, Katja Kassin, and Kelly Divine. Interestingly enough, this was one of those rare occasions when Tom himself did not tap every ass present, the man satisfied with doing only two of them. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Kelly Divine, a curvy young lady with a sweet ass and nice DSLs, was up first in a tease montage that seemed a bit too lightweight compared to some of Tom's previous works. Still, it would be wrong to say she was not endowed with a great body for the series, this time partnered up with well hung Sean Michaels. At the end of the tease, she was slobbing his knob, her mouth handling the head while she stroked him romantically. He provided a steady stream of aural encouragement to her as she inhaled the meat pipe too, leading to a series of vaginal-only positions where she showed she was better wielding her pussy than her mouth on such a large black pecker. Summary: Big Ass Fixation 5 by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures was not his most consistent fuck flick of recent months but it adhered to the theme in each scene and even offered up a bonus scene most people probably haven't seen before given the company it was shot for seems all but defunct. There was a decent level of strokability and replay value though and the technical values were solid enough so I rated it as Recommended. In short, Big Ass Fixation 5 continued Tom's drive to offer up a wealth of curvy babes with big butts, the only thing bothering some people is the implication that they would all be doing anal as a result (most did not do anal). Still, fans of the cast should know that they were well worth checking out a number of times so don't pass it up.
