Extras: The best extra, as always, was the 41:31 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. Most of the action was situated around the interviews with Lisa Ann & Jessica Lynn getting made up for their scenes but it was still worth checking out if you like as much of the cast as I do. There was also a photogallery and pop shot compilation from the scenes but the BTS was the best extra by far.

Audio/Video Quality: I'm Dreaming of Genie 2 was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by director Jordan Septo for Exquisite in this MPEG-2 encoded standard definition title sporting a 480i resolution. The lighting was solid in most cases and that led to limited amounts of grain and video noise compared to similar movies by other directors. The composition of the shots was virtually always favorable to the ladies, focusing on their strengths rather than minor flaws in most cases, and that added some measure of fun to the scenes here but a steadier hand would have helped make it look more like the original show. The DVD was mastered well enough and I thought the visual elements worked very nicely generally speaking. The bitrate hovered around the 5.4 Mbps mark when I paid any attention to it and I saw no compression artifacts as a result. The 2.0 LPCM English audio was slightly hollow in the limited setting of the couch in the living room in most cases. I could not always hear the vocals well enough for my tastes so they were sometimes a bit mixed in terms of quality but once the sex started, everything sounded fine. The audio had the standard bitrate of 1536 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate and was about average in most ways, the musical refrain close enough to the familiar "Jeannie's Theme" to suit my tastes. The downside here was once again that the vocals during the dialogue were not captured very well, hollow and light in the mix weakening the end result.

Body of Review: Okay, so Jordan Septo and Juicy/Venom decided to make a sitcum porn parody awhile back and while it wasn't too bad, garnering some modest acclaim despite an obviously rushed production and limited budget. Well, after all this time, the sequel is out with the appropriately named I'm Dreaming of Genie 2. This time, the threadbare plot centers on Jeannie's sister getting in on the action, a decent enough selling point considering the idea was a hit back during the original run of the mainstream series as well. The smart money went all the way this time too, cashing in on the popularity of Lisa "Sarah Palin" Ann, the increasingly popular MILF a surefire hit in almost every title she has been in according to pundits in the know. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Summary: I'm Dreaming of Genie 2 by director Jordan Septo for Exquisite was even more spotty in terms of needing polish so I felt it best suited for a rating of Rent It. The sexual trysts were on the generic side, the use of the elements stated seemed to be "off" more than not, and for all my ongoing praise of Lisa Ann, even she couldn't elevate this one beyond the point of saving it. In short, I'm Dreaming of Genie 2 was a fine example of a sitcum porn parody lacking on the time, energy, and budget needed to make it work. It wasn't the worst I've seen but it didn't even make it to the level of those titles from New Sensations so the kings of sitcum parodies at X-Play are safe for now.
