Extras: The first disc had some real extras, including a cast list, a 2:38 minute long Blooper Reel, a 4:41 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, 1:45 minute interview of Endless Shanti, trailers, and a 10:02 minute long "Gape Buffet" which amounted to the lesbian equivalent of a popshot compilation provided on most flicks, with a few website links. The second disc had a mere 2:30 minutes of heated outtakes, five photogalleries, and some filmographies along with the second iteration of the cast list. The extra footage on both discs added more nudity and sexual misconduct, plenty more in terms of strokable footage, so it should not be missed.

Audio/Video Quality: Lil' Gaping Lesbians was presented in a retro looking 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jay Sin for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec for standard definition release (in 480 resolution). The bitrate was usually in the 4.8 Mbps range but the basic lighting covered the action fairly well so there were not a lot of shadows around during the scenes. The flesh tones were slightly too saturated and the composition of the shots was not always the best for the ladies but the anal tricks that so fascinated director Jay Sin were obviously the most important thing to capture for him; this being his core audience from what I've learned over the years. Still, the action was clearly recorded and the raw energy of the cast was caught better than I expected; making it a decent looking fuck flick in most ways, the editing by Ben-C, Non-C, and "S", showing some care going into the final product. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; the lack of separation and dynamic range meaning the audio was a bit flatter than hoped for. It was low end audio for the most part but given the gonzo niche of the movie, this is to be expected. The musical interludes were pretty decent though and added to the fun but they did not last long for those who care.

Body of Review: Jay Sin provides some of the most unusual porn at Evil Angel these days, never getting as dark as Jake, as male dominated as the others, and always trying something new in regard to the use of anal action with youthful looking ladies. His latest flick making it my way was Lil' Gaping Lesbians: Special Set, a series of lesbian scenes dedicated to displaying Jay's infamous love of stretched out assholes on young gals. While not a big step apart from his previous works, I noted that even on my initial pass through of the title, there was something missing here all too often, pinpointing it on the difficult side until I got in deeper. The company website described the show like this though: "Director Jay Sin has a special way with sweet, young porn girls - he's able to inspire their playful spirit and lust as they explore their nubile bodies. Somehow he gets them to quite literally open up, and aided by their fingers and his collection of crazy toys, their cute buttholes expand and gape like dark, echoing caverns. All of this he deftly captures on camera with cheerful, brightly colored panache. The double-disc Lil' Gaping Lesbians is the latest proof. In short, the fun factor present this time was driven mainly by the chemistry between the two ladies, relying less on the circus act sex tricks advertised than usual (and working for me as a result).

Scene Four: Morgan Layne, an odd little blond under the guidance of sexy Lexi Love, was up next as the first scene of the second disc, the gals dressed in skimpy attire as they embraced their anal aspects on a bed. Large toys penetrating assholes to leave gapes was instrumental to providing the kind of action advertised, they just seemed to do it with a degree of mechanical attitude that spoke of gay for pay work. That said, the toys were large and left larger than average anal gapes, the women moaning but not talking which weakened it for me.

Summary: Lil' Gaping Lesbians by director Jay Sin for Evil Angel had all the anal gaping advertised and perhaps then some but the scenes seemed forced in a way that Jay's earlier works did not, making this one tougher to appreciate so I rated it as a Rent It. The best performers of the show were Kristina Rose and Lexi Love (big surprise there, yes?) but even they7 seemed to be somewhat off their usual mark. In short, Lil' Gaping Lesbians: Special Set may work for those of you that are dedicated to the ladies of the cast or the director himself but for me, it seemed to be one of his lesser titles of late, some corners cut and the production otherwise rushed so check it out if you like, just don't say I didn't warn you.
