Audio/Video Quality: Fucked On Sight 8 was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec (sporting 480 resolution). The quality of the visuals varied a bit here but Manuel focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry. The lighting was decent and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Manuel's works virtually always a few notches above the competition from what I've seen over the years. The editing could have used some polishing up but the basics were covered handily, the end result pretty close to what I expected out of the show, all of the footage shot in POV (point of view) by the director himself or resulted from him setting the camera down on a table and pointing it in the general direction of the action (a bold move to be sure). The bitrate was all over the charts here with much of the footage coming in around the 3.6 Mbps range but there were not a lot of compression artifacts present that I could see. The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere. There were some issues with a few scenes regarding hearing the vocals, the actions thankfully speaking louder than words.

In short, if you want to see a POV fuck flick with a lot of babes getting off as they did likewise to their partner, you will be hard pressed to find a better release than Fucked On Sight 8, my caveat regarding the audio just one factor in the matter.
