Audio/Video Quality: Monique's Lost Footage was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec in 480 resolution. The flick was shot in 1080i/60 high definition awhile back, though presented in the SD format (for now), in what appeared to be a more intimate setting than some of Skow's works to date. The lighting was fairly well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore their sexuality. The composition of the camera angles was less optimal this time though, Skow trying to enhance the look of the ladies as possible, T-Bird Meadows editing the production with some care. The fleshtones were accurate too and the DVD mastering was well done (the bitrate hovering around 4.8 Mbps), even if the lighting was off at times (the company watermark will be bothersome to many out there but only some). The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 256 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. The aural qualities of the movie appeared to offer some separation and increased dynamic range, the vocals easily heard and mixed in with the ambient noises as well as music.

Body of Review: B. Skow has essentially remade the modern Vivid Entertainment in such a way that they rely far less on features and more on all sex projects or lengthy gonzo offerings that are typically a cut above what many others are offering these days. He tends to showcase the ladies in such a way that their best parts are highlighted, something I just don't see every day. The latest release by the director sent for review was Monique's Lost Footage, the popular Monique Alexander showcased in three scenes with Greg Sterling, a few others tossed in for good measure. Up front I saw the difference between this project and Skow's other works is that Monique appeared to be playfully happy with Greg, providing a level of chemistry she generally does not provide in her scenes. The counter to that aspect is that the scenes are shorter than Skow tends to provide and they seemed less about physical performance than a couple getting each other off. I know some people prefer one type of scene over the other, still others just glad they threw these scenes out there for Monique's fans to appreciate. The back cover described the movie like this: "One was shot in a kitchen...a crazy scene with Monique and Greg. Toys, spanking, totally hot. Then they did an even hotter scene, in a bar.
