Audio/Video Quality: Pound the Round 5 was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Mike Adriano for Digital Sin using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases. The scenes were all shot with basic lighting to eliminate any shadows, texture, or hints of color variations. The set up was simple with the basic tease, then a male partner would join in for various forms of oral and vaginal intercourse (occasionally anal too), all in some form of point of view fashion. The grain was minimal as was the video noise, the directors trying to provide a basic porn experience here rather than cultivate favorable press by use of silly special effects. It was far from perfect but this did enhance the replay value for me as it showed more care than usual, fans of well rounded women certain to appreciate it. The bitrate tended to hover around the 4.1 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it but the numbers alone do not tell the whole story in this regard, the basic editing not really doing much with the footage that I could see but then I don't have access to the raw footage to make a definitive statement. On the negative side, the company logo was watermarked on the lower right hand corner of the entire movie and extras, distracting me more than a little bit given the nature of the presentation. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, a series of jarring musical pieces making the production bug me at times, at least until the sex started and music stopped.

Body of Review: Mike Adriano has long directed for Digital Sin, his movies very hit or miss with me. I have been told several times by insiders that this is due to the restrictions placed on him by his employers, once he seals an upcoming deal with one of the major gonzo outfits, he would truly shine. Well, the deal has gone through and he will start really showing his talents when his first Evil Angel flick comes out but he has left behind (pun intended) a legacy at DS few of his peers could hold a candle to, his latest work coming my way for review being Pound the Round 5. The special attribute this time was not that the movie included anal sex with each performer as the advertising has long suggested but this being an "all star" cast, I expected more than usual. Given names like Alexis Texas, Jayden Jaymes, and Shyla Stylez as some of the headliners, I found myself believing it would be a first rate experience. The back cover described the movie like this: "It's time for some ass pounding pov style! This is the all-star edition, so Alexis Texas, Shyla Stylez, Jayden Jaymes, Ashli Orion, and Rachel Starr are here to grind their rumps all over your rock hard cock. These booty-licious babes have got it goin' on, and they're begging to be pumped full of cock. So what are you waiting for? These bitches are packin' some mad biscuits just for you!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Alexis Texas, the curvy babe featured on the front cover, was up first as she teased out by the pool in her pink bikini, her thong swallowed by the wealth of ass cheeks surrounding it. While the departure from the pure kind of POV shooting advertised will bother some of you, the scene generally benefitted from the variations included, the composition of the action not great but at least allowing for more variety as Alexis poured on the heat. While Rachel was not the most active rider of the bunch, she did provide ample opportunity to show off her moves, pushing back to meet his thrusts as she worked him over. Scene Four: Jayden Jaymes, a seductive brunette with a fantastic ass, was up next as she teased outside, her silver booty shorts hardly covering her ass before she peeled them off to reveal her skimpy thong. Scene Five: Ashli Orion, the youngest performer of the show with brunette hair and a tight little body, was up next wearing a green tube top and mesh pantyhose of sorts that allowed a proper view of her superb ass before she took care of Mike Adriano. She was another that was all too cognizant of the camera, kissing Mike before blowing him (and always looking at the camera), getting her ass ready for later action with a red anal plug and some graduated beads. This did not eliminate the vaginal sex but it did seem to truncate the amount of it to keep the anal penetration in balance with the oral, Ashli actively riding though not on the same level as Shyla did earlier in the flick. Her face sitting and dirty talk were welcome here too but like the others, she has done better work elsewhere even recently so as strokable as it was, the replay value was mitigated by the availability of better scenes. Still, Ashli has been showing some serious moves of late and her active anal truly worked well here, the scene ending when he blew his spew on her pussy.

Bonus Scene: Pound the Round 2: Allie Haze, a slightly chunky gal with a loose caboose, was up next outside in a neon blue top and white pants as she showed her thick she was to Mike Adriano. The music was lame and her moves in great need of some training but this being one of her first scenes with a guy gave it extra appeal initially. There was a short interview (with audio problems at times) but Mike adored her and while she stuck with giving him some head and only doing vaginal penetration, the ice cream play at the beginning of their tryst was pretty decent. The scene also deviated from the strictest of POV titles for him to eat her ass but they appeared to be okay with one another, Mike jerking off to her ass all too quickly.

Summary: Pound the Round 5 by director Mike Adriano for Digital Sin had numerous highlights worth mentioning and fans of the cast should consider it a "must have" even though none of them were at their best but for a general audience thinking this movie would have a lot of anal in it or that the point of view camera angle would be the only way it was shot, make this a Rent It. In short then, Pound the Round 5 had a bevy of beauties worth watching do just about anything, never mind have Olympic level sex with the director, it just was not as consistent as some of his better titles to date but well worth a look just the same.
