Extras: The most interesting extra was the bonus scene from Firebush 2 described below from the old Jewel De'Nyle back catalog she sold awhile back (apparently to Tom). It lasted 25:03 minutes, was between Isabella Soprano and Kris Slater, and had Tom's company logo on both sides of the screen since it was a full frame outing (basically, it looked lame but the scene itself was fine). There was also a 29:51 minute long set of interviews and photoshoot footage, adding some value to the show. There was also a set of trailers, a photogallery, and some spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Unseasoned Players 2 was presented in a 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480 resolution). The camera work mixed it up this time with a bit of tease footage taken inside the house, including some quality time of the ladies in skimpy outfits or naked, but much of it out by Tom's pool where the lighting was better too. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 5.7 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene provided solid flesh tones that appeared to be accurate as Ivan and Tom worked the cameras. The editing by Tom was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor so I would say it was aurally average in most respects.

Body of Review: Tom Byron and his company, Tom Byron Pictures, make hardcore gonzo porn well worth checking out these days, his devotion to the ladies working better than the type of porn he made under the Extreme label years back. While going mainstream, Tom made a point to offer up sex acts he thought were underrepresented in porn but has also tried to cater to the popular market niches with titles such as Unseasoned Players 2. The premise of the series is to showcase women with relatively few scenes under their belt, the end results somewhat mixed, largely shooting for the appeal newcomers have with many fans. In this second batch of babes, the hot ticket featured on the front cover was Sadie West though a few of the others upstaged her as far as I was concerned despite her beautiful eyes and smoking hot curvy body. While there was some foot fetish action at times, this was another straightforward vaginal penetration scene, her inability to aggressively handle his girth weakening the scene a whole lot. After several positions of that, he beat off into her mouth, no discernable chemistry displayed along the way.

Bonus Scene: Firebush 2: Isabella Soprano, a curvy gal with brown hair (and some minor red highlights), was up first as she teased by a couch while wearing a white top and plaid skirt. Her ass had a lot of junk in the trunk for fans of fleshy butts and the scene with Kris Slater was pretty solid. They did oral on one another, keeping the mood light and playful, and except for a perpetual grimace she had during the scene, I thought she got off at least once. It ended when he jerked off to her face and the chemistry was evident throughout the scene.

Summary: Unseasoned Players 2 by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures was another fuck flick so heavily dependent on the ladies that it just didn't do it for me consistently, their newness showing up in how they performed all to readily so I rated this as a Rent It best worthy of your consideration if you worship at the altar of newness rather than heated pairings with skilled partners. In short then, Unseasoned Players 2 was as good as most titles relating to newcomers other than most of the ladies were not exactly "new", but consider it as a mid-week rental more than anything else unless you've literally seen all of Tom's other works.
