Audio/Video Quality: Street Vendors was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame the scenes were originally shot in by director Erik Everhard for Jules Jordan Video using the MPEG-2 codec (sporting 480 resolution). The quality of the visuals varied a lot more than usual here but Everhard focused far less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry. The use of full frame and a single disc appeared to be an effort to make it look like it was quickly shot in a raw manner with minimal equipment, bringing back the days of impromptu trysts in public before people cared as much regarding technical matters. The lighting was fair for the conditions (much was shot at night) but the grain and mosquito noise were most noticed in the scenes. The editing by Brad Stark could have used some polishing up too but the basics were covered handily, the end result pretty close to what I expected out of the show, at least Jimmy Scaffnetti joining Erik on the European trip to add to the fun. The bitrate was all over the charts here with much of the footage coming in around the 4.1 Mbps range but there were not a lot of compression artifacts present that I could see (there was some inherent grain at times though). The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere.

Body of Review: Erik Everhard has been one of the leading forces promoting quantity and quality in porn over the last five years or so, his double disc releases at Jules Jordan Video providing some of the best deals in porn when it comes to fuck for the buck. As a big fan of the double disc approach, I know it allows for a higher video bitrate (better looking footage) without relying so heavily on higher compression rates used by companies willing to cut corners, many in the industry grumpy when their weaker efforts are compared side by side. Well, due to economic conditions, even Erik has now hit the crunch with his release of Street Vendors, a title on a single disc but at least still providing a lot of footage, even if the visuals could have used more polishing up. The idea of the flick is to showcase public sex trysts between Erik and a variety of European ladies, some of it handled in point of view (POV) fashion while much of it was shot by rascally Jimmy Scaffnetti as the pair of men toured the countryside searching for dangerous public liaisons. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Sandy Style, the thin blond featured on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up first as she hung out alongside the road waiting for her bus. She wore a white top and blue jean skirt with sunglasses on, not exactly playing her role believably as she talked with lost Erik Everhard. Summary: Street Vendors by director Erik Everhard for Jules Jordan Video was definitely a change of pace for his productions, combining the raw energy of impromptu public sex with the technical values needed to make it "look real" but the weakness of such an approach also showed up, the cast of ladies certainly playing hookers well enough but rarely giving off that vibe that they weren't well known performers so I split the difference and rated this one as Recommended. It might have worked better had the scenes been shot exclusively during the day and perhaps with relative unknowns in the roles of the hookers, much like the Public Invasion series used to be handled. Still, in terms of strokable content that tries new things, Street Vendors did provide a bevy of beauties willing to engage in public sex during Erik's latest European tour, most of the trysts providing an enjoyable experience.
