Audio/Video Quality: This Ain't I Dream of Jeannie XXX was presented in a colorful 1.78:1 ratio, anamorphic widescreen, offering as shot by director Axel Braun for Hustler Video using the 480 resolution and MPEG-2 codec typical of standard definition projects. There appeared to be an attempt to do this one quickly but in a fun manner, paying closer attention to the sets, the clothing, and other visual elements of the movie this time, the folks at Hustler wisely listening to those who point out the best way to make a sitcum work. The editing wasn't as tight as the best genre efforts but Claudia Ross seemed up to the task of polishing up Axel's raw footage nicely enough, the video bitrate hovering in the 3.9 Mbps area most of the times I looked. The standard definition version of the flick had few compression artifacts, only a bit of noise & edge enhancement, and proper lighting to assist in making the movie look more like the original, the art direction credited to the director himself. In short, in terms of the visual aesthetics, this title was better than the other parodies of the show I've watched over the years, similar to most of Axel's works in the sitcum genre. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, the script credited to Marc Star seeming to be scribbled out while shooting the movie rather than making good use of the aural aspects of the show (outside of the copycat theme).

Body of Review: Axel Braun has been making sitcum porn parodies like a madman in recent years, his titles generally considered a step up from those of peer Lee Myers but rarely as good as those presented by Will Ryder, at least until Batman XXX came out recently to a lot of critical acclaim. That said, it is no mystery that the bulk of his work is released by Hustler Video on a budget, the man paying numerous television shows homage as he pornifies them in his own special way. His latest effort fit squarely in the positive end of the pack, a title that has been handled by numerous other companies in the past, his version called This Ain't I Dream of Jeannie XXX. My initial reaction to hearing of another man's take on the popular sitcom of the 1960's was "why bother" but the strength of his aforementioned hit gave me pause that he could make it work, especially thanks to the lead being played by hotty Shawna Lenee. Going in with my eyes open and my hand at the ready, I felt confident that this movie would not suck. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Shawna Lenee, the sexy blond featured on the front cover, was up first as everyone's favorite mystical bottle-dweller, trying to find out just how much the new neighbors liked each other after the limited description given by her master. The neighbors were portrayed by blond Missy Woods and adorable Ashlyn Rae, the two ladies making out on the couch when they saw Shawna pop in on them. They invited her to stay and the trio consummated the lesbian tryst by disrobing her before fingering and rimming the young lass. Shawna reciprocated orally on her new friends and they were soon stuffing a small vibrator into her snatch, Shawna's moans adding to the fun as the moderately active trio continued to please. While there appeared to be some modest chemistry between the gals, the scene appeared cut short and Shawna received more than she gave even though a very quick nod to some pink beads was given to Ashlyn and Missy.

Scene Two: Jazy Berlin, a curvy blond wearing a tight black top and revealing orange plaid skirt, was up next in the office with Cheyne Collins, his patch of facial hair completely out of place for the character. She wanted a job but when he questioned her qualifications, she immediately stripped naked and started slobbing his knob actively. The generic sexual encounter did nothing to add to the parody elements and his best days are long behind him but she was a little spitfire, jerking him off into a frenzy though not riding his pole actively in either position before he launched his load of genetic juice to her upper torso and neck.

Scene Three: Carolyn Reese, another curvy blond, was up next wearing a classic black dominatrix outfit, wielding her riding crop on Jack Lawrence with absolute authority. His Major Bellows character was completely understated throughout the movie, the writer all but ignoring some of his easy to capture quirks, the bedroom set where she took control over him as timeless as could be. She helped undress him to speed things up and started beating his meat, the hand to gland combat quickly followed up with a hummer as she gave his turgid rod some love. She then used her feet to jerk him off and straddled his face, both providing the other with some oral before they engaged in a few positions of vaginal sex. There was modest chemistry between them by this point, her kinkiness assisting in adding some replay even if it was a generic application of basic porn 101. The happy ending came when he rubbed out a nut of population pudding on her feet, the scene closing out before she could order him about any more.

Scene Four: Ashlyn Rae, the sexy little brunette from the earlier scene, used guile to trap Jeannie in her bottle so she could make time with Dale DaBone, the man tied to the bed with a gag in his mouth by his jealous charge. Dale has recently been making something of a comeback via some productions in Florida and a few parodies but his acting was nothing at all like the Larry Hagman inspired role, meaning his only worth to the show was via his sexual exploits. In that regard, he was fair but Ashlyn clearly led the way as she helped free him to take off his suit and blow him as she gazed into his eyes. The hand assisted hummer was solid but he skipped going down on her, Ashlyn passive during the vaginal encounter of the doggy and missionary before picking up the pace a bit in cowgirl variations. At least the ending was decent because she dropped to her knees to blow him one last time, the guy taking over just in time to give her as facial of semen.

Scene Five: Shawna Lenee, wearing her sexy little harem outfit, was up last as she took on both Alec "Roger Healy" Knight and Dale "Major Nelson" DaBone having taken care of the trampy neighbors. She dropped to her knees to blow them in turns, her tits allowed some breathing room before Alec ate her ass. Shawna looked great and has since claimed that this is her "last" porno, she'll excuse me if I roll my eyes having heard that a few times before. In any case, she allowed the men to take turns plowing her pussy as she blew them, a cock in her snatch and one in her mouth at nearly all times. The riding was not especially active here but she did her best work in the cowgirl variations, actively riding the baloney ponies before the men rubbed out wads of spew to her face while standing above her.

Summary: This Ain't I Dream of Jeannie XXX by director Axel Braun for Hustler Video was definitely not his best movie of the past few years but the sex was decent enough and the limited dialogue passably presented to make this one a mild Recommended for fans of the cast and the genre both. There was definitely a need for more polish and the corner cutting railed at times but Shawna was certainly cute enough to replace Barbara Eden to make it work. There was a fair amount of replay value and strokability too, not as consistently heated sexually as could be but perfect for couples not wanting truly hardcore action. In short then, This Ain't I Dream of Jeannie XXX topped the previous releases on the market as a parody of the original, treading no new ground but serving up Axel's version in style to the point where he is still one of the top contenders in the genre to keep track of, surpassing the last attempt at the material (I'm Dreaming of Genie 2) even while using a few of the same cast members.
