Audio/Video Quality: Courtney's Fantasies was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Courtney Cummz for Third Degree Films using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with a 480 resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain like some of Courtney's works in the past, the overall look straightforward even with a minimal nod to soft focus a few times, such as during the minimal tease montage. The grain was minimal as was the video noise, the overall effect being a series of solid looking scenes comparable to most of the credited directors at the company. The bitrate tended to hover around the 5.8 Mbps mark most of the time I paid any attention to it and this helped elevate the production a notch in my book. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, some care obviously taken to make the scenes though not the best the company has to offer. The sole audio track was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 256 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited due to the nature of the gonzo shoot. There was also no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers.

Body of Review: Third Degree Films is a subsidiary of a larger group of production companies led by Zero Tolerance so I know that almost everything they make will reach a certain degree of technical expertise, even productions credited to performers like lovely Courtney Cummz who are not known for their behind the camera antics. That said, when Courtney wants to make a show such as Courtney's Fantasies, even if it is just a set of unrelated scenes that she contributed a sole offering towards, I know to pay attention. The main thrust of the action here was merely to showcase the company's three contract gals as well as some others popular in porn, in scenes where they have fun with a man or two. One of the highlights for me going into this one was a scene between Kagney Linn Karter and Sara Sloane but the rest of the cast all earned some applause for adding replay value and strokability. Granted, most of the men were second or third tier quality and that hampered the long term prospects of the show but it should still come across as a worthy movie to check out, even if the advertised BTS was nowhere to be found.
