The rest of the extras were standard package material including a cast list, a photogallery, six trailers, and a pop shot recap.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal Cavity Search 8 was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Erik Everhard for Jules Jordan Video using the MPEG-2 codec (sporting 480 resolution). The quality of the visuals varied more than usual here but Everhard focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry. The lighting was fair and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Erik's works seemingly not as strong looking recently for some reason, the grain and mosquito noise most noticed in the scenes. The editing by Brad Stark could have used some polishing up too but the basics were covered handily, the end result pretty close to what I expected out of the show. The bitrate was all over the charts here with much of the footage coming in around the 3.9 Mbps range but there were not a lot of compression artifacts present that I could see (there was some inherent grain at times though). The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere.

Body of Review: Erik Everhard is one of the most sought after male performers in the entire porn industry, the ladies frequently asking for him and companies recognizing the level of intensity his performances provide so it is no surprise that his own works at Jules Jordan Video provide the man boning the babes as though his life depended upon it, his technical staffers capturing such acts in great detail. His latest excursion into the hardcore realm is Anal Cavity Search 8, a series of six scenes where every lady does anal in the Erik Everhard way; taking it roughly and smiling as though presented with a chance to truly shine. I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of backdoor boning myself, far too few ladies can do so actively, but Erik seemed to go out of his way to find those that could do it and do it well, my impression being that most of them were of European origin. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

The technical side of things appeared to be again on the low side compared to his work from a year ago or more, making me wonder if the crew is dropping the ball or the equipment used just isn't up to speed. Regardless, Anal Cavity Search 8 was an entertaining ride into backdoor action with a group of foreign gals built for speed over comfort, the movie clocking in with over four hours of dedicated footage for fans to appreciate.
