Extras: The best extra for those properly equipped will be an iPod-compatible version on the second disc. I don't have one and I'm told this version isn't quite as high in resolution as the movie on the first disc but it's a nice extra all the same. There was also an interesting 71:51 minute long party version of the movie, a 63:35 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Ralph Long where the cast & crew were given the chance to explain their roles with some interviews and clips from the show. There was then an 13:49 minute long set of Bloopers & Outtakes for fans to appreciate, a popshot recap from the scenes, a bonus scene between Jesse Palmer and Rod Fontana, with a photogallery as well as a true double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: The Sex Files II: A Dark XXX Parody was presented in a sharp looking 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen picture as shot by director Sam Hain for Digital Sin using the MPEG-2 codec with 480 resolution. The show looked more like the original television show when I didn't look too closely, the lighting altered in each scene to mirror the show more than flat lighting could ever do. There were very few compression artifacts and the video bitrate seemed to hover around the 5.4 Mbps, the fluid camerawork coming across like the show too. This was a pretty good pornified version of the original show, the director wisely using Eddie Powell as the director of photography; Gabrielle Anex and Epsilon Tau on editing. The company logo was always present in the lower right hand corner with a light watermark this time so those of that wrote me about the issue can rest at ease. The SD audio was presented in a standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, no separation between the channels, a limited dynamic range, and music from the DeWolfe Library working well throughout the show. In all then, the show was another fine send-up to a popular television show, the technical aspects enhanced to improve the creative material used to inspire your self-love habits as well as the replay value.

Body of Review: Sam Hain's best work generally accepted as being an award winning movie last year when he stepped up to the plate to take charge. His second attempt at directing is called The Sex Files II: A Dark XXX Parody, the aforementioned hit of his being The Sex Files 1. As with the first volume in the porn parody series, it closely tracked various aspects of the popular television series, the leads once again resumed by talented Kimberly Kane and Anthony Rosano. Given the dedication and energy put into the flick, it was clearly designed as another award winning release, the sexual exploits just as hardcore as last time with even better acting and writing enhancing the story portions of the show. If you were a fan of the original show, I have no doubt you'll find it an appealing parody and I'm sure it will satisfy you on various other levels as worthy of your time. The back cover described the movie like this: "Set one year before the appearance of Lilith, Federal agents Dana Scully (Kimberly Kane) and Fox Mulder (Anthony Rosano) are sent to unravel a mystifying series of murders. Their investigation leads them to Eastern Virginia, where they find several locals who seem to have been "infected". Mulder believes the cause of these infections to be none other than "The Black Oil." Scully and Mulder must search for answers that will ultimately defy the boundaries of science, the paranormal, and the dreadful spaces in between!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Dani Jensen, a comely little blond with a smoking body, was up first as she kissed Rocco Reed in the back of the van. He's had better roles but he was certainly a better choice here than most of his peers, his hands soon groping India as he unfastened her shirt in the bedroom. There was a lot of fingering and I had no doubt the gals were into one another but I wondered (as did my gal pal Nadine) if it could have been better integrated into the movie than it was. There was face sitting and pussy grinding, light caresses beyond the first few minutes of the tryst, and a number of small touches I liked but neither gal was exactly a top flight pick for this type of scene. Still, it added to the sexual diversity and stroke value even if it might have worked better with Kimberly joining them to really rev things up.

Scene Four: Kimberly Kane, the hot redhead featured on the front of the cover, was up next in the shower with male lead Anthony Rosano (also featured on the cover beside her), as they played in the shower together. She began by masturbating and he soon assisted her with his hand, Kimberly dropping down to slob his knob aggressively while continuing to make superior eye contact. Summary: The Sex Files II: A Dark XXX Parody by director Sam Hain for Digital Sin had enough decent sex scenes to win over the usual porn aficionados but it was the nods to the show in terms of acting and storyline that really put it over the edge to merit a rating of Highly Recommended. Kimberly Kane was the best of the sexual performers and actresses both, the writing helping enhance the rest of the cast too, the solid package of extras on the second disc giving it that extra edge (especially the bonus scene made exclusively for this production rather than another generic throwaway bit from a previous release). In short, The Sex Files II: A Dark XXX Parody lived up to The Sex Files 1 and even surpassed it in some ways, hopefully future efforts putting Kimberly Kane in even more sex scenes. The use of special effects and the way the entire production adhered to the mood of the original show were the icing on the cake, very few aspects coming across as out of place from what I saw so check it out.
