Extras: The only unique extra worth writing about was the 10:20 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by none other than Octavio Winky Tiki. It wasn't long enough to give a great overview of the entire production and each scene but it hit some highlights, included some time for the stills being shot, and allowed Kayden some fun. Then there was a photogallery and some trailers, the spam minimal but the show also including a bonus cheerleader scene from University of Austyn lasting 18:15 minutes that I described below in more detail.

Audio/Video Quality: Cheerleaders Academy was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Jim Malibu for Adam & Eve to be released in this MPEG-2, 480 resolution offering. There was some grain and minor video noise, the lighting plentiful in most scenes to invoke a cheerful dynamic opposed to some of Jim's darker efforts of late. The usual camera work by Ralph Parfait has never been my favorite approach but he seemed to do a decent job here, the kind one might expect indicative of the material. The video bitrate hovered around 4.3 Mbps did seem to help enhance the looks of the ladies, the amount of compression artifacts minimal even if this was not a high budget release. The skin tones were off a little but the action clear to see, making it a better looking show than some of the past efforts by the company, the lighting providing enough texture for the cast to see them clearly despite some of the effects deployed. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English stereo, the 224 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate generic as could be. The happy background music in some portions of the movie was well done though the vocals seemed cookie cutter basic with no separation (the dynamic range minimal).

Body of Review: Jim Malibu is a director mostly known for his fluffy light features in porn, his current home being Adam & Eve. His latest movie making it to me is called Cheerleaders Academy, more of a loosely tied set of six scenes in vignette form than anything else. This one stars Kayden Kross but also provides a nice lesbian tryst with current contract starlet Alexis Ford, most of the ladies in the flick certainly well selected for their cheerleader type of bodies. Unlike so many pornified looks at the world, the ladies were not all going commando or wearing thongs under their uniforms, but don't pick up a copy expecting anything between the sex scenes other than fast forward fodder (FFF) as some put it. The back cover described the movie like this: "Kyden Kross is in it to win it after starting an exclusive Cheerleaders Academy. Her plan is to go big, and in order to achieve her dreams she'll need to fill herself up with more than just team spirit! New contract girl, Alexis Ford, plays the cheerleading coach and she shows the new girls a booty shaking routine that gets them all going for it!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Kayden Kross, the foxy blond featured on the left side of the front cover (and current star of Body Heat), was up first on a basic sofa wearing a colorfully striped bikini, playfully encouraging studly Tommy Gunn to join her. Like most of the scenes here, the chemistry was limited and even the energy was inconsistent, making it okay to check out a time or two but probably never again.

Scene Five: Addison Cain, the cute gal from the earlier pool masturbation scene, was up next with Alan Stafford, the two hanging out by the pool with no discernable buildup before she got naked and he started fingering her. It was okay to show a few kisses and caresses but even the manner in which he ate her seemed to be mechanical, the sheer vanilla style of the action by this point weighing heavily on my mind. He ate her and she reciprocated with a pretty fair (if limited) blowjob, the vaginal penetration positions interrupted by some oral a little but the usual dynamic of the movie making it seem forced in some ways. It was fun and far superior a warm up to the previous scenes, Randy Spears portraying the financial guru she was set to consult to get her dream off the ground. The scene ended when he tossed off to her snatch, Kayden rubbing it into her skin as Randy tried to recover.

Bonus Scene: University of Austyn: Tory Lane, one of the better new gals in porn, was up dressed as a cheerleader in a couch scene with geeky Trent Solari (who was dressed like a poindexter). She was not only the sexual aggressor here but provided a very solid scene where she sucked him off, rode him in her sweet pussy, and even took anal with an impassioned vigor I didn't expect to see in an Adam & Eve movie. The ball sucking, taste testing, and other variations on a theme were just bonuses for me as the hotty did more than I'd dreamed she'd do here in a very well handled scene. The only thing I wasn't into was the droning music but it wasn't that loud compared to the vocal track so I didn't hit my mute button (and lose the swell dirty talk) while appreciating the scene.

Summary: Cheerleaders Academy by director Jim Malibu for Adam & Eve benefited by having a lot of bright lighting and steady cameras, limited dialogue and an abundance of attractive young ladies engaging in all sorts of sexual misconduct but it often fell short of providing replay value and much meat to appreciate so I rated it as a Rent It for anyone other than diehard fans of the cast. In short, Cheerleaders Academy rarely provided any sexual trysts that stood out from the norm but those wanting to see all the scenes by lovely Kayden Kross or Alexis Ford might find it appealing all the same so give it a look if interested on the basis of any comments made here but it seemed as though it was not finished given the limited dialogue and how the material was wrapped up so your mileage may vary.
