Audio/Video Quality: Sex Appeal was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Grazer for Elegant Angel using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with a 480i resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain like most of Mick's works in the past, almost as if Mick's works this time (under his director alias) was adjusted to provide things the way Elegant Angel does them these days. The grain was minimal and I got the impression that Mick spent some time to use the camera angles to enhance the looks of the nicely made up ladies, their tits always the focal point of the action. The bitrate tended to hover around the mid 4.1 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it, the opening tease sessions looking like they were much lower resolution and frame rate for some reason. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, providing each with some nod to their relative strengths, the editing by Bruce Carter cleaning up the footage nicely into a series of finely honed clips. The sole audio track was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 256 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited due to the nature of the gonzo shoot. There was also no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers. The music was provided by Mybeatshop and Elegant Angel Productions, offering little different than what the company has in the past but suitable while the tease montages played out.

Body of Review: Grazer is the directing name of Mick Blue when he shoots for Elegant Angel, his first few attempts showing something of an upgrade over many of his previous works. The likable fellow is generally considered one of the better male performers and his work behind the camera has been developing favorably for some time, resulting in a movie like Sex Appeal. This gonzo release has five lengthy scenes full of tease and hardcore action, Mick jumping into every scene to sample the goods offered by hotties such as Chanel Preston, Asa Akira, Jynx Maze and others. While I still favor a couple of other directors working for Elegant, “Grazer” seems to be gaining ground too, part of his appeal being in how much he adores the ladies (not to mention the way they react to him as well). It was interesting to see that his wife, Diana Doll, was the makeup artist here too, perhaps both of them planning their exit strategy by expanding their skill set. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

As far as I was concerned, the battle for the top spot was between Chanel Preston, Jynx Maze, and Asa Akira but the others were quite fuckable too, making this a winner all around. In short, Sex Appeal had three and a half hours of superior fodder for your internal spank bank, the quality of the technical matters nearly as strong as the active ladies strutting their stuff so heatedly.
