Overview:  Mr. Pete has steadily risen through the porn ranks in a relatively short amount of time.  The Las Vegas native entered adult in 2000 and has been credited in over 1,500 titles according to Adult DVD Empire.  In 2003, Mr. Pete began directing and had a steady library of titles released by Red Light District.  Consequently, the fall of Red Light District has not diminished the young performer as he continues to be a reliable performer and director.  For his Vivid debut, Mr. Pete takes the POV route and has hand selected a crop of ladies to film in POV fashion.  Viewers familiar with Mr. Pete’s abilities, both in front and behind the camera, should know what to expect.

Special Features:  Director Mr. Pete includes a behind the scenes feature, a photo gallery, four additional Vivid trailers, and company spam.  The worthwhile extra are the seventeen minutes of BTS footage as shot by Shylar Cobi.  The behind the scenes extra gives insight as to how a POV movie is shot and how difficult it is on the performer and director.  Additionally, some screen time is given to the performers as Pete briefly interviews each one individually.

Audio/Video Quality:  Audio is presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo and is free of any negative artifacts.  The camera mounted microphone does a fine job of reproducing the little dialogue and moans from each scene.  Video quality varies as director Mr. Pete incorporates several outdoor teases and the harsh sunlight washes up flesh tones and color accuracy.  Mr. Pete’s POV is shot in 1.78:1 aspect ratio and utilizes the MPEG-2 codec.

Final Thoughts:  I’ve become very familiar with the caliber of Mr. Pete’s work over the years.  Mr. Pete’s work at Red Light District solidified him not only as a performer, but also as a skillful director.  Unfortunately, Mr. Pete’s POV isn’t his strongest work and might have been too ambitious for his Vivid directorial debut.  The title is rough around the edges and could have benefited from additional assistance from the Vivid team.  Nevertheless, Mr. Pete’s POV is a worthwhile title worth a view at the bare minimum, especially the Jade Indica scene.  Recommended
