The Movie:

While the idea of a Scooby Doo XXX parody might seem like an odd idea on the surface, when you really think about it, this one actually makes a whole lot of sense. Even as kids we knew that Shaggy was smoking weed when nobody was looking and we figured he was sticking it to Velma now and again. And Fred and Daphne? You just knew they were knocking boots in the back of the Mystery Machine on a pretty regular basis. Of all the cartoons of the era, Scooby Doo had more sexual tension than the rest combined and New Sensations was right to skewer this one.

With that said, a lot of the XXX parodies that are being churned out on what has to be an hourly basis these days are pretty bad. It’s easy to come up with a successful series to parody and slap a XXX in the title, but it’s considerably harder to keep the tone right and still manage to work in all the fucking, sucking, bunking and spunking that porno fans want to see. Thankfully, director Eddie Powell has managed to make this one work, thanks to a script that’s straight out of the Scooby Doo playbook and perfect casting choices. As far as the performers go, Michael Vega is great as Fred and Chad Alva makes the perfect burnt out Shaggy. Even better are the girls – Bobbi Starr is the sexiest Velma you could imagine and future Mrs. Sheen Bree Olson is a knock out as Daphe. The performers look the part and act the part and are obviously having a lot of fun here, which translates well into the sex scenes and into the movie’s entertainment factor. Throw in guest appearances from sexy Lily Labeau and the mighty Even Stone (in a non-sex role) and you’ve got all the right people in all the right parts (that’s a clever double entendre, isn’t it?).

The story is simple – after a night of drinking and smoking and fucking, Shaggy wakes up to find his best friend Scooby Doo is missing. When the rest of the gang find out he’s gone, they take it upon themselves to figure out what happened to him and are soon skulking around a giant old mansion trying to figure out the story behind a creepy old ghoul who is likely the one behind Scoob’s disappearance.

Like I said, it’s straight out if the Scooby Doo playbook, from the sight gags and physical comedy to the dialogue and our cast are so game they don’t even break character during the sex scenes. Speaking of which, there are six of them here and they play out as so:

Scene One – Lily Labeau And Chad Alva: Chad, as Shaggy, picks up this chick in a blue angel outfit at a party played by pretty blonde Lily. Since he’s got a big dick that can go a long time without coming (his words, not mine) he puts it to use in a back room. They make out and grope one another and her top comes off and he plays with her tits. Lily takes Chad down her throat and gives him a good blowjob and then he gets the rest of her clothes off and goes down on her. They go at it from a few different positions – doggy, cowgirl, reverse, missionary – and she plays with her clit and pussy while he fucks her. He pulls out and jerks off onto her face, ending a fairly steamy opening scene.

Scene Two – Bree Olson And Michael Vegas: So Fred and Daphne manage to get some alone time and spend it the same way you or I would if we could – Bree teases Michael a bit and then drops to give him head. After she sucks him off he gets her spread on the bed and eats her pussy and then she gets on all fours and diddles her clit while he eats her ass. They get naked and he fucks her spoon style after which he shifts gears on her and fucks her up the ass. He pulls out and blows his load onto her face and down her throat. This second scene is also solid, with some nice passion between the two performers. The fact that Bree looks great in her retro outfit here doesn’t hurt things at all and she gets into the scene with that type of enthusiasm we all like to see from her.

Scene Three – Bobbi Starr: Bobbi finds herself alone in the bathroom and she’s just so turned on that she can’t help herself – she has to lift up her bright orange skirt and masturbate right there. She fingers herself for a bit until she gets busted, at which point…

Scene Four – Bobbi Starr And Chad Alva:…Bobbi, completely naked except for the orange socks and the black glasses, throws Chad to the bed and takes his clothes down. She basically attacks him and gives him some wicked head, really getting into it and showing us and Chad how much she wants it. They go at it from all the requisite angles and as he’s fucking her six ways from Sunday she keeps pulling him out for some quality pussy to mouth action. He strokes off onto her stomach and she wisely keeps her orange socks and glasses on the entire scene and we’re all the better for it.

Scene Five – Bobbi Starr And Bree Olson: This is the one we all wanted to see – Daphne and Velma get down and dirty when the boys aren’t looking. It’s a fairly standard girl on girl scene except for the fact that it’s performed by two of the hottest girls working today and is as spirited and enthusiastic as you can imagine. The girls take their time and this is the longest scene on the disc for good reason. They eat each other out, finger one another, sixty nine a bit and finish things off by scissor fucking with lots of passionate and deep kissing and fondling thrown in to keep things nice and hot.

Scene Six - Bobbi Starr, Bree Olson, Chad Alva And Michael Vegas: It’s all hands on deck for this final scene in which Michael fucks Bree and Chad fucks Bobbi, right beside one another on a big old bed in that they find in the mansion. The guys get their cocks sucked first and then each fuck their respective partners from a few different angles. Bobbi doesn’t take it up the ass here but Bree does, her second anal scene in the feature, and it all culminates in both girls getting some seriously big loads deposited onto their pretty faces.

And once that’s all done, the gang heads back into mystery mode and solves the crime once and for all. But we’re not going to tell you who did what or ruin the surprise. Just let it suffice to say that if you ever pondered the prospect of what it’d be like if the Scooby Doo gang were real and what it’d be like if they got down, well, this one answers that question and then some – and it’s a whole lot of good dirty fun.

The Video:

The movie is presented in a nice 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer that boasts good, lifelike color reproduction and strong detail levels throughout. There are some minor mpeg compression artifacts evident in a few of the scenes but aside from that the disc is well authored, meaning that there are no problems with edge enhancement or aliasing. The fact that there’s a New Sensations video bug in the bottom right hand corner of all of the content in this set might annoy some, however.

The Audio:

Scooby Doo – A XXX Parody sounds good in its English language Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo mix. The score, dialogue and ‘sounds of sex’ all come through loud and clear with nice channel separation and some fun directional effects. Bass response is tight and bouncy and the score in particular sounds very good. Levels are properly balanced and there are no problems with hiss or distortion to complain about. Overall, things sound great.

The Extras:

The first disc is barebones except for some spiffy menus and scene selection but the second disc in the set contains a pretty decent array of supplements starting with The Party Version of the movie which is basically just a thirty-one minute version of the movie with all of the hardcore sex cut out of it. There’s also a Behind The Scenes featurette which shows the different performers getting into character and which includes some one set interviews with the cast. Most of it is fairly fluffy but Bree does give some lucky guy head here so it’s worth watching for that. A bonus scene is included, starring Bree Olson and Erik Everhard, and there are a few minutes of amusing outtakes included here as well. Rounding out the extras a pop shot recap, trailers for a bunch of other XXX parody titles, some DVD-Rom material and some weblinks.

Overall:

Scooby Doo – A XXX Parody is one of the recent crop of porno parodies that manages to get it right, hitting a great mix of genuinely hot sex and equally genuinely funny entertainment. The cast are all obviously having a good time and do a great job with their characters while director Eddie Powell keeps things moving at a good pace. The two disc DVD release from New Sensations looks and sounds quite good and contains some decent extra features as well. Highly recommended!
