Extras: All the extras were on the second disc, well except for the large case holder and the set of trading cards that proved to be a nice addition to the package. There was a pop shot compilation from the scenes, a photogallery, and a series of Behind the Scenes extras. They began with 39:37 minute long series of interviews, including the director (holding up a production t-shirt that looked pretty good using the company logo and the movie logo, one on each side), followed by a 51:06 minute long feature called “Let’s Make a Movie” that was more like a true BTS (complete with flubbed lines, Evan Stone mugging, and the scenes being shot), a 76:38 minute long special called “Lizzy TV” which was dedicated to costumes, Tom shaving for his role, more BTS material, special effects, photogallery shooting, etc.), and a 65:15 minute long feature called “Fun with Superman and Wonder Woman” that was even more BTS material centered on two of the scenes (Rocco with Kristina Rose and Chanel Preston doing Tommy Gunn). In short, while additional sex scenes and such would have made it even better, this was a solid set of extras by any credible standard, all original to the production.

Audio/Video Quality: The Justice League of Pornstar Heroes was presented in anamorphic 1.78:1 widescreen as shot by director Sinister X (an all new alias for an established director) for Exquisite Multimedia. This standard definition version was presented in the MPEG-2 codec, the bitrate hovering around the 4.7 Mbps mark when I spot checked it, the colors all bright and indicative of the original characters thanks in part to solid lighting. There were few flaws in the visuals to speak of, limited grain and no observed compression artifacts, the special effects suitable for a cable TV movie as much as a high grade porno, the composition tending to strongly favor the women yet still keep the costumes as a central selling point unlike some of the recent productions by others. The editing showed some care and frankly, it worked for me on both levels, the cheese factor well established but the smut factor selling me on the rating given. The audio was presented in 2.0 LPCM with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 1536 Kbps audio bitrate, the blend of vocals to special effects nicely played. Perhaps future efforts will incorporate more ambient noises and music too but this was a decent effort in terms of audio and visual elements in play.

Body of Review: Exquisite Multimedia has been a gonzo porn company for a very long time, their limited forays into features and parodies usually leaving much to be desired but now they are trying to reinvent themselves with talented director “Sinister X” by releasing The Justice League of Pornstar Heroes. Having watched scores of porn parodies over the years, even back in the heyday of porn in the late 70’s and early 80’s, I know that most of them are so lamely made that aside from curiosity sales, most fade away only to be brought up later as examples of why porn is so laughed at by mainstream Hollywood and audiences alike. There have been a few that have transcended this degree of incompetence but given tiny budgets, the need for quick turnaround times, and performers that are either good sexually OR able to read a few lines without fucking them up, the odds are stacked against most productions except as stroke flicks or for cheap laughs. This time, the subject matter is a decades old comic group of heroes beloved far and wide, containing iconic characters that inspire many. While seemingly a natural thing to pornify, it overlooks the fact that of all the obsessive fanboys in existence, comic book readers of all ages are the worst about nitpicking little details. The flip side is that such people tend to have relatively chaste sex lives and are natural consumers of modern pornography, I used to know from personal experience. Surprisingly though, when all things are considered, this was a fun little fuck flick full of sequel potential, not hurt in the slightest by the inclusion of Xcritic blogger Chanel Preston; an award winning hotty able to combine intelligence, a smoking hot body, and a sex positive attitude few of her peers possess. As the mythic “Wonder Woman”, she lives the role and makes one forget about some of the more questionable casting here, reminding me that the cover itself was a change of pace in how it featured primarily men in direct opposition to industry standards. There was also an interesting integration of the 1970’s cartoon “Super Friends”

That said, the costumes were cute takeoffs of their mainstream counterparts, “X’s” added in all the right spots to signify the parody as such yet keeping the same names, color schemes, and proportions. My quick take on the movie was that it was a great parody compared to most in the genre, able to poke a little fun at the characters but still be respectful of their fans, yet still embracing the core reason why so many enjoy porn in the first place. The sex might not have been the hardest of the hardcore smut but at the same time it wasn’t anything close to the vanilla trysts so frequently seen in the contract company offerings, my hat is off to the company for how well it handled the material. The company website described it like this: “When a great evil threatens porn's very existence, The Justice League of Porn Stars Heroes comes together to battle the Legion of Poon. Can Batman and Robin tag-team Catwoman into submission? Are Wonder Woman's truth juices enough to get the General talking? Will the sexy Mob Boss stop the Flash in his tracks? Can Superman get Zatanna to turn a real trick? Will the Green Lantern let Harley Quinn strip him of his ring & more? What are Lex Luthor and Poison Ivy scheming? Can our porn star heroes save the day? Only watching "The Justice League XXX" will reveal the answers!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Rocco Reed as Superman

Scene One: Roxanne Hall, a curvy dame playing Catwoman, was up first with the mighty Evan “Batman” Stone and Scott “Robin” Lyons, exchanging sexual favors for information. The twisted manner in which the scene was set up was curious but as someone who adores the gal, I’m just happy she was included, her rounded rump and oral skills put to good use here. After weakening the man of steel just enough to perform her own kind of magic on him, she began with a kiss and soon dropped down to blow him aggressively, leaving her fishnet stockings on as she brought him back to life. Summary: The Justice League of Pornstar Heroes by director Sinister X for Exquisite Multimedia really surprised me because previous company efforts in the genre just did not work in the slightest, the wealth of extras, the way the scenes were lightly tied together but not so much they couldn’t be enjoyed alone, Chanel Preston really shining brightly as Wonder Woman but the other ladies also nice eye candy too. While there were some rough edges to be smoothed out and a few casting quirks, I found myself appreciating it as an entertaining but strokable show, one of the best hero parodies in memory on several levels, the ambitious project earning a rating of Xcritic Pick. It wasn’t as hardcore as some of the director’s previous efforts but it was the kind of crossover porno that comic book fans should enjoy more than the generic gonzo of the week and well worth picking up as a “must have” for any genre fan. In short, The Justice League of Pornstar Heroes was not merely an upgrade over previous company parodies but a solidly enjoyable series of seven porn scenes all tied into the iconic DC Comic heroes many of us grew up with, little nods to variations of the characters included in such a way that the camp value was secure without damaging the strokability. As a “first” such effort by the director, I expect he will do even better in the future, the learning curve such that even the stated masters of the genre have shown time and again how far they have come. So look for “Supergirl” and volume two of this one in coming months, the special effects as good as any other CGI-laden parody or “tribute” flick currently on the market.
