Audio/Video Quality: Anal Workout was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Grazer for Elegant Angel using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with a 480i resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain like most of Mick's works in the past, adjusting comfortably to his role as director for the company, this being a POV fuck flick. The grain was minimal and I got the impression that Mick spent some time to use the camera angles to enhance the looks of the nicely made up ladies, their tits always the focal point of the action. The bitrate tended to hover around the mid 3.8 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it, the opening tease sessions looking like they were much lower resolution and frame rate for some reason. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, providing each with some nod to their relative strengths, the editing by Bruce Carter cleaning up the footage nicely into a series of finely honed clips. The sole audio track was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 256 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited due to the nature of the gonzo shoot. There was also no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers. The music was provided by Mybeatshop, B. Lynne, and Elegant Angel Productions, offering little different than what the company has in the past but suitable while the tease montages played out.

Body of Review: Grazer is the directing name of Mick Blue when he shoots for Elegant Angel, his first few attempts showing something of an upgrade over many of his previous works. The likable fellow is generally considered one of the better male performers and his work behind the camera has been developing favorably for some time, resulting in a movie like Anal Workout. This gonzo release has five lengthy scenes full of tease and hardcore action, Mick jumping into every scene to sample the anal goods offered by hotties such as Holly Michaels, Jade Stevens, Asa Akira, Liza Del Sierra, and Gia DiMarco. While I still favor a couple of other directors working for Elegant, “Grazer” seems to be gaining ground too, part of his appeal being in how much he adores the ladies (not to mention the way they react to him as well). It was a nice change of pace to see a wider selection of ladies not so shot out this time, Holly earning the cover with her first advertised anal scene. The technical values were pretty solid here, Mick having improved over his years of experience with other companies, but he wisely followed the general company formula for Elegant Angel and it worked out nicely all around. In short, Anal Workout did not just focus on shot out performers as so many titles elsewhere seem so willing to do, nor did it try to come across as some romantic couples show, Mick making sure that all the basics were covered so give it a look if you’re into ladies engaging in anal sex.
