Overview: This dvd movie takes a semi-realistic look at how sex plays a role in people's everyday lives. It features the story of Tara, and how she got involved in sex as well as how it effected other people in her life. This somewhat sad tale does end on a good note, and offers a look into sexual relationships like no other adult dvd I have seen.

PLOT SUMMARY

This dvd/movie starts off in a very sad way. Tara finds out she is losing her job in the opening scene, and faces some harsh realities. She not only ends up losing her job, but her apartment as well. After moving in with her father (Tommy Gunn) she begins her job hunting. Sixteen job interviews go unnoticed, and Tara is becoming desperate for cash. Her girlfriend ends up telling her how she can make money really easy. Unfortunately this deals with having sex with strangers. At this point I was feeling extremely sad for Tara, and her situation. The truth of the matter is that people often turn to such decisions in the real world, and I think that's what this dvd's point was.

Tara ends up sending some guy nude photos of herself via the internet. She meets up with him at some hotel room and has some of the most saddening sex I have ever witnessed. It made me feel really bad for her even though she is just a fictional character. The performer who plays the part of Tara did a good job for the most part. She made it seem as if she didn't really want to be there. There were some parts that made her character seem like she had been doing this kind of thing before though. The sex in the scene lasts a fairly long time. The cover a a few positions that includes doggystyle, and missionary. for the most part it was missionary though. Her blowjob skills didn't really suit the role she was playing. She included some very advanced oral techniques which made the scene seem unrealistic.

After taking a shower that only saddened the mood even more, Tara meets with her girlfriend who suggested this kind of business to her. Her friend ends up convincing her to join her for a threesome. This part of the movie seemed way off point from what the movie began as. Tara seemed to really enjoy the thought of joining her friend in sex with a stranger. Even the sex scene showed her enjoying herself. It was a little confusing to me. The sex part of the scene was actually enjoyable to watch. Tara, her friend, and the guy ended up having some hot sex in the kitchen. A lot of that actually took place on the counter. As you can probably imagine the positions were limited, and featured only missionary, and doggystyle. The oral sex in this part was amazing though.

The movie briefly switches focus from Tara to her dad. Her dad ends up watching some porn on his laptop. The odd thing about this is that it goes into the internet sex scene as if it were part of the movie. I can kind of understand the artistic perspective of it, but it still seemed out of place. After that sex scene was through (which took a good 20 mins.) the scene returns focus to Tara and her messed up life. She goes back to re-apply at the job she worked at during the beginning of the movie. Before she enters the boss's office it shows his secretary giving him a blowjob under the desk. After Tara enters the room and secures a part-time job she leaves. The scene then focuses on the boss and his sexual encounter with his secretary. This sex scene also lasts a good 20, or more minutes. The sex takes place on the desktop like good office sex should. The positions included are limited, but include doggystyle, and missionary.

The movie turns back to Tara for a final time as she tries to secure a date with another online stranger. This time the situation gets a little awkward. It seems that her dad is searching for a hook-up on the same site she has her profile on. The two unknowingly chat with each other, and set up a date. During the dad's brief look at his daughter's nude photos he noticed a certain poster on her wall. After visting her room to turn off her light he notices she has the exact same poster on her wall. The movie doesn't actually linger on that subject any further. The father, and daughter have no confrontation on the matter at all. The dad just ends up choosing not to reply to her again.

The last part of the movie shows how the dad, and mom end up getting intimate once agin. They both end up having sex in their own bathroom after the wife get's out ouf the tub. The bathroom sex scene was actually one of the best scenes in the whole movie. It had some hardcore moments, as well as some romantic themes to it. The dad, and mother ended up having sex all over the bathroom. They did it on the floor, on the side of the tub, and over the sink. The positions included spooning, doggystyle, and reverse cowgirl. It was nice to see things wrap up in a good way. Tara ends up going back to her old job, and forgets about sex with strangers. The dad gets his affairs in order. All things are good here at the end.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I enjoyed this movie, and it's moral look at the immoral choices in life. The cast did a great job in acting as well as gave an excellent performance. The sex was good, but it seemed out of place at times in the movie. Riley Steele's performance as Tara did seem a little fake at times, especially when she was giving a blowjob in the first scene. Tara was supposedly supposed to be new to such things, but Riley's performance said otherwise. Apart from that one issue I thought the movie was good. It's not exactly the best porn film I've seen, but the movie part touched base with some realistic points. For what it is I believe it's definitely worth a recommendation. It's not often that you see a director/producer provide an adult dvd with (semi)real life scenarios.
