Audio/Video Quality: Panty Pops 2 was presented in a fine looking 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Kevin Moore for Evil Angel/Buttman Magazine Choice using the MPEG-2 codec for standard definition release (in 480 resolution). The bitrate was usually in the 6.1 Mbps range but the basic lighting covered the action well so there were not a lot of shadows around during the scenes. The flesh tones were slightly too saturated in one scene and the composition of the shots was usually the best for the ladies but the tease that so fascinates Kevin (and myself) were obviously the most important thing to capture for him; this being his core audience from what I’ve learned over the years. Still, the action was clearly recorded and the raw energy of the cast was caught better than I expected; making it a decent looking fuck flick in most ways, the editing showing some care going into the final product. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; the lack of separation and dynamic range meaning the audio was a bit flatter than hoped for. It was low end audio for the most part but given the gonzo niche of the movie, this is to be expected. The musical interludes were pretty decent though and added to the fun but they did not last long for those who care.

Body of Review: Kevin Moore is a director that I learned to appreciate long ago when he released some really strokable porn, his devotion to women and tease making him stand out from a very crowded pack. His initial efforts did not equate to success and he kind of faded away by working for smaller companies but has now been wisely selected to participate in Evil Angel’s Buttman Magazine Choice program, the man certainly showing an aptitude for showcasing hot young ladies that sport fine curvy asses. With ten scenes shot over an extended period of time, I knew going in that this was going to work out well, a quick look at the cover making me want to dive into the 3+ hours of load inducing action.

Summary: Panty Pops 2 by director Kevin Moore for Evil Angel/Buttman Magazine Choice helped reestablish him as a force to be reckoned with in the industry due to the way he managed to turn what amounted to a niche fetish release into something a more mainstream porn lover such as myself could appreciate time and again. There was some experimentation here (such as scene six) that worked better than expected and the selection of ladies was very nicely done, my initial reaction of giving it a rating of Highly Recommended for the fetish lovers into this alone changing over the course of the show to suggest it as much for a broader audience. I cannot say if the first volume was as well made and strokable but I couldn’t deny the appeal here and I’m not exactly into BJ-only titles (most of the scenes being such) or primarily tease. In short, Panty Pops 2 was a winner and I look forward to seeing just what the director will come up with next, the 3+ hours of footage here surpassing my expectations in a very favorable manner.
