The Movie:

While the content for this latest Digital Playground release featuring Stoya, truly one of the most beautiful actresses and best performers in all of the adult film industry of the last ten years or so, may have been shot some time ago, this material was unseen outside of the Digital Playground vaults until now. Yep, you read that right porn fans, this is basically some all new Stoya content from the Digital Playground archives – now, some of you might be thinking that this is just a cash in to reap the rewards of the lady’s fanbase, and maybe you’re right, but the content here is good, and it doesn’t just feature our favorite lithe dark haired sex machine, oh no. It’s also got Kagney Linn Karter and Alexis Texas thrown into the mix for good measure – and Rebecca Blue too!

The plot, such as it is, follows Stoya’s adventures as she moves in with her new roommate, played by Mick Blue, who soon finds out that she makes some extra money as a web whore – you know, a cam girl. He finds this an immense turn on, but he’s unsure how she feels for him despite the fact that, deep down in her awesome loins, she burns for him too. The plot here is secondary and it exists only to string together the five sex scenes that make up the bulk of the feature’s running time, but who cares. The sex here is hot, and that’s why you’re reading this in the first place, right? You want a porno with a plot? Get yourself a Metzger movie – this is spank material dressed up as a couples friendly feature – but it’s done well and is a nice example of Digital Playground’s typically lush production values and director Robby D’s talents behind the camera for framing and set up.

So without further ado, here’s a your obligatory rundown of who fucks who and who they do it:

Scene 1 – Kagney Linn Karter,Scott Nails And Mick Blue: Our first scene gets things off to a nice start when Scott lures Kagney into the bedroom for some quality time together. When Kagney starts to undress, Scott takes that as his cue to head south and so he gets his head buried firmly between her cheeks to get things moving. Stoya: Web Whore looks very good in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer although you’re probably going to notice some moderate color banding against the grey/green backgrounds that Celeste has shot much of the movie against. There’s an insane amount of detail present not only on the performers but also in the sets and backgrounds/sets used in the production. There aren’t any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction and skin tones look excellent throughout. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn’t as impressive as the transfer is and it’d be nice to see (or hear, I guess) Digital Playground embrace lossless audio on their Blu-ray releases. Dialogue and music both stay clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score’s resonance and bounce sounds good and there aren’t any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won’t blow you away but it certainly won’t disappoint you either even if there isn’t a whole lot of rear channel action worth noting.

Extras:

Extras are fairly slim. We get a few trailers for other Digital Playground titles and a still gallery, but really, these aren’t anything to write home about. More interesting is the behind the scenes feature which, while fairly surface level at only eight minutes in length, does manage to include some interviews with the cast and crew and some nice on set footage showing us what it was like while the movie was being made.

As this release is a combo pack, it also contains a standard definition DVD inside the case as well. Extra are almost identical (the Blu-ray features a few more trailers than the DVD) and understandably the transfer isn’t as impressive, but it looks fine for what it is.

Final Thoughts:

The extras don’t amount to much but the presentation is nice and the movie itself is pretty solid. It’s not the best one that Stoya’s ever appeared in but her fans will appreciate seeing her in two solid scenes and throwing in other A-list talent like the lovely Ms. Texas doesn’t hurt things either. Recommended.
