Extras: The first disc had a cast list, some websites, and a web trailer; the bulk of the movie included on the disc. The second disc offered a decent 23:29 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, a heated 20:18 minute long outtake reel, five photogalleries, 6 trailers, and some filmographies along with the second iteration of the cast list. The extra footage added more nudity and sexual misconduct, plenty more in terms of strokable footage, so it should not be missed, certainly adding value for me and most other fans of the director.

Audio/Video Quality: Gape Lovers 7 was presented in a fine looking 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Jay Sin for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec for standard definition release (in 480 resolution). The bitrate was usually in the 5.7 Mbps range but the basic lighting covered the action well so there were not a lot of shadows around during the scenes. The flesh tones were decent and the composition of the shots was not always the best for the ladies but the anal tricks that so fascinated director Jay Sin were obviously the most important thing to capture for him; this being his core audience from what I’ve learned over the years. Still, the action was clearly recorded and the raw energy of the cast was caught better than I expected; making it a decent looking fuck flick in most ways, the editing by Luigi, showing some care going into the final product. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; the lack of separation and dynamic range meaning the audio was a bit flatter than hoped for. It was low end audio for the most part but given the gonzo niche of the movie, this is to be expected. The musical interludes were pretty decent though and added to the fun but they did not last long for those who care.

Body of Review: Jay Sin provides some of the most unusual porn at Evil Angel these days, emphasizing the love of female ass and anal tricks using expansive toys designed to push limits considerably. His latest flick coming in for review was Gape Lovers 7: Special Set, a series of scenes dedicated to displaying Jay’s infamous love of stretched out female assholes, this time using some headliners such as beautiful Kagney Linn Karter, rising starlet Brooklyn Lee, Asa Akira, and numerous others (only one scene showcasing the gals doing a black cock where Britney Stevens and Darla Crane teamed up on Sean Michaels). While I’m an ass lover and porn generalist from way back, many of Jay’s titles work best for me a bit at a time, his devotion to tease making all of them worthwhile though some decidedly better than others.

Scene One: HotkinkyJo, a skinny brunette that reminds me of Stoya (though with meatier labia), was up first as her first scene with popular redhead Anita Hengher. Jo started off with a lengthy tease on a stage full of glitter and used a microphone to capture the sounds of her act but the stuffing of huge anal toys in the ass seemed more in line with previous volumes in the series. It was fairly tame in that respect until Anita jumped in to work her new friend over orally and with her hands, stopping just shy of fisting (keeping her thumb out but adding in more than four fingers). There was no spunk or population pudding split but it was an interesting opening tryst all the same.

Scene Two: Asa Akira,an exceptionally popular Asian babe, was up next with sexy little blonde, Jessie Volt. Both had on silly outfits that did not cover much of their bodies, Jessie wearing a huge translucent strap on dildo. The brightly colored setting (as seen around Kagney on the cover) and their outfits lent an air of youthfulness to the scene, some oral by both of them complimenting their various anal toy insertions a bunch. The sex was slow and luxurious here, never speeding up unnecessarily as both savored the tastes of their partner. In short, there was a lot of rimming and basic penetration of ass here, their personal chemistry elevating the quality of the scene substantially in a way that some of the more extreme scenes from the movie lacked.

Scene Four: Darla Crane, a minor legend in porn due to her lengthy experience, and fleshy Britney Stevens, were up first as they played in a classroom setting. Darla was in charge and spanked her younger charge with a long ruler, Britney’s ass as tasty as ever. That led to some rimming, Britney pushing her asshole muscles out (eww!) but Darla kept going down on her, an assortment of toys used to push it back in between licks. About 20 minutes unto the warm up, Darla stripped and was given the oral treatment by Britney, a little slower perhaps but using the same degree of fun factor that kept the grosser portion acceptable. Summary: Gape Lovers 7 by director Jay Sin for Evil Angel was fun with the varied cast of ladies, earning a rating of Recommended. The entire cast seemed quite at ease doing one another, pushing their limits at times to achieve the kind of gape hang times some fans truly want to see on the small screen. In short, Gape Lovers 7: Special Set was much like earlier volumes in the series, the cast quite talented but still into the kind of circus act sex that a lot of people run to porn to see. Material like this is not to be watching all in a single sitting but it fascinates to see the limits of the ladies pushed so hard and wide, their responsiveness to doing so helping gauge the relative connectivity of the cast with one another. My favorites were still Asa Akira and Kagney Linn Karter but none of the women was unwelcome as spank bank fodder so check this one out.
