Audio/Video Quality: Assets 2 was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Mike Quasar for Third Degree Films using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with a 480 resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain I dislike so much, the overall look of the show being just as good as most gonzo offerings these days. The bitrate tended to hover around the mid 5.3 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it, the composition of the camera angles typically optimal for the ladies. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, each of them used to softer lighting in recent scenes, this particular cast able to handle the added lighting quite well. The sole audio track was presented in 1.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited but much like the gonzo titles he likes to shoot. There was also no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers. The voices could be clearly heard though, the balancing between those and the music capably handled.

Body of Review: Mike Quasar is a popular director at Zero Tolerance, his lengthy career full of humor and heated sex scenes few of his peers can match. His latest title sent to me for review is Assets 2, a five scene all sex flick starring such notable hotties as Phoenix Marie, Charley Chase, and Francesca Le. Going into the show, I was sure that every scene would contain anal action since the back cover comments were so clear but as things progressed, I wasn’t so sure. The back cover described the movie like this: “"Back" by popular demand! If you're a red-blooded ass-loving man, then get ready for the hottest cheek-spreading action in XXX! Francesca Le and Phoenix Marie star in this mouth-watering tribute to divine derrieres and puckered up posteriors! These bare-assed beauties aren't afraid to suck and fuck in every tight hole they've got, but when it comes to the Southern hemisphere, boy do they have got your cock covered! So step up from behind and sink into those perfect round, ripe cushions made for pushing! These are some squeezable ass-ets that will never lose their value!” Here’s a really brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Summary: Assets 2 by director Mike Quasar for Zero Tolerance was advertised as though anal was the primary action so in my disappointment, I figured the otherwise strokable scenes (which lacked the anal by the way) were still worthy of a rating of a Rent It. The level of eye candy thanks to Phoenix Marie, Charley Chase, Francesca Le, Carolyn Reese, and Vicki Chase, was solid but as good as they were at fucking, claiming that “these bare-assed beauties aren't afraid to suck and fuck in every tight hole they've got” translates into anal so I lowered the rating accordingly. In short, Assets 2 was not the most original series of scenes released by the company of late but there was a decent amount of replay value, strokability, and truth in advertising to make it worth looking into if you aren’t an anal fanatic so give it a look.
