Extras: The 24:45 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jamall Jhonson and edited by Ryder (in the credits; the end of the BTS credited “Peeps”) was the best extra by far. The cast were all allowed to show their respective personalities, Kayden given a vegan chocolate cake for her birthday and all of those present having a great time. I admit that the separate disc of extras was a good idea, this allowing for more room on the respective movie discs to provide the best picture possible. There was a slide show and a photogallery as well as 28 trailers (yeah, 28!). As always these days, the separate format disc (either the DVD or the Blu-ray) could also be considered an “extra”, my preference for the high definition version of the show making the standard definition copy less valuable but your mileage may well vary. Otherwise, the slipcase cover the book format DVD case was nice, the ladies featured on the “pages” of the case that unfolded out to access the three discs.

Audio/Video Quality: Mothers & Daughters was presented in a very sharp 1.78:1 widescreen as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground. The movie package included both the standard definition DVD as well as the Blu-ray disc, each looking good though the high definition version was a big upgrade. It was edited by the talented Joey Pulgadas and looked like the visual elements were interesting (especially in the high definition Blu-ray), the production did a good job of blending the feature elements with the sexual trysts once again. In terms of technical values, you just cannot beat talented Robby and his seasoned crew with their access to the highest end equipment. The audio was also clear in both cases, the difference less striking but the production sounded like the vocals, music, and ambient noises were all put together well enough, no one credited with this aspect of the movie as far as I could tell. Of interest was the inclusion of subtitles in German, Spanish, and French for those who care.

Body of Review: Robby D. is the lead director at Digital Playground, the skilled man making all sorts of projects viable compared to what the company offered before his arrival. His latest blockbuster sent for review is called Mothers & Daughters, a showcase title for the company’s biggest names as it starred Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross, and Riley Steele, with Selena Rose all contrasting against MILFs like Lisa Ann, Dyanna Lauren, and Diamond Foxxx. With seven scenes and a great ending lesbian orgy, there was definitely a lot to enjoy this time. The time tested plot elements of mothers and daughters trying to outdo each other made for some amusing situations too, this one really surprised me. Summary: Mothers & Daughters by director Robby D. for Digital Playground was a blockbuster production showcasing contract cuties Kayden Kross, Riley Steele, Jesse Jane, and Selena Rose contrasted by Lisa Ann, Diamond Foxxx and Dyanna Lauren (Vicki Chase in there too). The super technical values and extremely heated trysts combined with the chemistry and replay value of the production earned a rating of Highly Recommended. I suspect that it will be mentioned around award time in numerous categories given the quality of performances and the various dynamics it addressed, making it a “must have” for those who appreciate something original over the copycat parodies so heavily covered in feature porn these days. In short, Mothers & Daughters was a lot of fun and the high definition Blu-ray version was as sharp a production as I have seen from the company in months, the light touches at humor making it a very appealing porno for couples (on a related side note, my GF really, really liked this one when we watched it so the opinion was not just my own).
