Audio/Video Quality: The Bombshells 4 was presented in a crisp 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as released by director William H. Nutsack for Elegant Angel. The camera work was solid with plentiful lighting to eliminate grain, video noise and shadows and the picture appeared to be crisp this time. Nutsack has proven himself time and again as to being able to provide the best looking porn regardless of format, his technical expertise lying in keeping it simple rather than using fancy camera systems only to use gels and filters to fuck up the results as others do. I saw no compression artifacts and the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the female performers as most of her work these days tends to do. The editing by Ryan Santiago was pretty solid too, no major errors noticed which is surprising given how many of the competition have recently dropped the ball in this area. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in a 256 Kbps offering with a 48 kHz sampling rate, the musical interludes provided by Productiontrax.

Body of Review: Elegant Angel has not always been one of my top gonzo production companies but in recent times they managed to win me over by applying some very basic approaches to proper technical aspects, solid casting of top babes, and working to make the best smut available thanks in no small part to directors like William H. Nutsack. His latest work available to me is a curious little offering called The Bombshells 4, ladies such as Anikka Albrite, Sharon Lee, and Lia Lor, all catching my eye. The focus in the series is to provide quality women with good looks but given the names here, few of them truly qualifying for “bombshell” status initially but each well worth exploring thanks to their past works of late. Given the ability of the company to elevate the status of so many of the ladies they showcase, I had high hopes they would be able to bring out the best in the cast, my interest extending to Maddy O’Reilly and Mischa Brooks as well. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Anikka Albrite, the featured blond on the front cover, was up first wearing a white outfit that did little to hide her fabulous ass. As the showcase performer, she was thrust into the spotlight and earned the cover, her lithe body and sensual nature standing out as award winning yet again. Nutsack for Elegant Angel was a polished set of five scenes starring some largely overlooked babes but Nutsack pulled it off all the same, the strokability, replay value, and quality of the outing meriting a rating of Recommended or better. Anikka Albrite was wisely showcased, Lia Lor continues to become a bigger presence, Sharon Lee was drop dead gorgeous, Mischa Brooks showed her talents well, and Maddy O’Reilly surprising me like she has not done of late; my nod to the director for giving them all the room they needed to stand out. In short, The Bombshells 4 showing how a respected director, diverse cast, and supportive company can make decent porn for the fans of attractive women. The idea of sticking to the basics rather than relying on camera tricks seemed to again work, albeit not as successfully as the last volume in the series (to a degree), the chemistry in individual scenes varying more than a little as did the degree of sexual skill provided.
