This latest effort from Joanna Angel and the Burning Angel team takes place at a high school where a gang of, yes, Vampire Cheerleaders seduce guys into getting all hot and heavy with them before using them for sustenance. Vampire porn is nothing new but this feature, which is pretty light on plot to be honest, takes the concept and makes it amusing by toying with high school clique clichés and throwing in Tommy Pistol as a horny werewolf just for kicks. As stated, there’s very little story here but what there is, well, it’s funny and dopey and goofy. But let’s be honest, the real reason you’d watch a movie like this is for the sex, and on that level, the feature delivers.

Scene 1 – Joanna Angel: After the cheerleaders finish their practice, Joanna winds up leaving the other girls and hooking up with Small Hands. No one else is around so she drops to her knees and blows him for a good long while. They make out and smooch and then he goes down on her, eating her pussy and her ass. She blows him again and then he fucks her from behind before flipping her over and giving it to her missionary style. Scene 5 – Draven Star, Krissie Dee, Jessie Lee, Veronica Layke & Joanna Angel: In this final scene, Veronica’s character has now joined the ranks of the other vampire girls and to celebrate they hit the bleachers in the gym and have a big ol’ lesbian orgy. Joanna goes at it with Veronica first and she remains the center piece of this group fuck but the girls all do a good amount of changing it up and enjoying what one another can bring to the situation. Whoever isn’t getting eaten out is doing the eating and typically some self fingering too and there’s all sorts of sloppy pussy eating and ass munching on display here to go along with the finger fucking and titty sucking. The girls are into it, lots of enthusiasm and what would appear to be pretty genuine orgasming going on to make this completely stroke-worthy if you dig group girl scenes.

This final scene leads into a pretty goofy comedy finish, but we don’t want to spoil the ending on this one… but it’s amusing and somehow completely appropriate. This isn’t a particularly deep movie, it just takes the vampire fetish and the cheerleader fetish and combines them into one single low budget quickie but it is fun, funny, sexy and pretty entertaining at that.

Video:

This shot on video production looks pretty clean presented here in a reasonably stable non-anamorphic 1.78.1 widescreen presentation. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots and a noticeable bit of mpeg compression evident in some of the darker colors and the blacks but other than that, there’s not a lot to complain about. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on, and aside from the fact that this digital video production looks like a digital video production and as such suffers from the minor defects usually associated with the format, everything is coming up roses as far as the look of the film is concerned.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient, even if the levels are unusually low (this is fixed easily enough by simply turning up the volume). The dialogue comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. The soundtrack is mixed in properly at a respectable level so as not to overshadow the speaking parts when they do occur. Bass response is nice and lively and overall, for a porno movie, this is a better than average effort.

Extras:

The main extra on the disc is a Behind The Scenes featurettes that runs a few seconds shy of twenty-four minutes in length. For some reason the compression on it isn’t so hot but it features some nice footage of Joanna at a photo shoot followed by footage of the other ladies being shot too. There’s some behind the scenes/on set footage here, some goofing around and relaxing and a decent amount of sex footage too. Some candid interviews are also included in this featurette as well. Nothing particularly deep, but interesting enough to watch once and sometimes quite amusing. Aside from that we get trailers for a few other Burning Angel titles, a still gallery, a collection of web links, menus and scene selection.

Final Thoughts:

Vampire Cheerleaders isn’t deep but it is two and a half hours of hot sex and goofy comedy, harmless sexy fun that plays up its premise is silly but fairly effective ways. The girls all look good and seem to be enjoying themselves and the sex scenes are well shot, well paced and plenty steamy. The disc looks and sounds pretty decent and the behind the scenes featurettes is actually worth watching for once. Recommended!
