Audio/Video Quality: Fluid 2 was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Dana Vespoli for Evil Angel. The visual elements showed some artistic touches but there was enough lighting and steady camera work to pull it all together nicely. The ladies looked good and the editing was rarely abrupt, Dana showing she has picked up more than a few tips in her quest to be taken seriously as a director. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen but it did not bother me nearly as much as it seems to bug some, just keep that in mind if this is an issue for you. The aural components of the show were basic and not overly distinctive but I could hear the cast going at it, whispering sexual comments toward one another and otherwise providing some ear candy worth listening to.

Body of Review: Dana Vespoli has become a creative force in porn, her movies for companies such as Evil Angel often serving a vastly different audience than the hordes of raincoaters that appreciate the works of the other directors there. Her latest flick as director for the company is called Fluid 2 and given my lukewarm reception of the first volume in the series, I was asked why bother watching it? My answer was that by following a director’s evolution, one may develop a better understanding of their works, but I was also interested in seeing the upgraded cast of ladies such as Kayden Kross, Casey Calvert, and Adriana Chechik go up against guys like Manuel Ferrara, Mick Blue, and Vanity. Finding out later that Kayden only worked with Dana this time was a bummer but at least I knew the director would make the scene work given her love of the ladies, Kayden efforts with men all too often relying on her physical appeal over any imagined performing abilities (and frankly, she is a hotty no matter what one thinks of her sexual skills; her eyes alone able to bewitch even the toughest of critics).

The company website described the movie like this: “In "Fluid Volume 2," creative director Dana Vespoli plunges into various ways sex can be soaking wet. Summary: Fluid 2 by director Dana Vespoli for Evil Angel was all over the map for me, three of the scenes fair but not using the talent as well as I would have liked, the final scene seeming more like a performance than a heated lesbian tryst by two likeminded lovers so it earned a modest rating of Rent It from me. I’m sure others that like passive women, guys unable to get erect, and halfhearted attempts at homages to comedic geniuses will fall all over themselves projecting better sentiments here but Dana has done so much better in other movies that I’d simply be lying if I suggested this was a better flick, no matter how intelligent and hot I think she is. In short, Fluid 2 missed the mark all too often for my tastes but the use of women like Misha Cross, Casey Calvert, Dana Vespoli, Ashlyn Molloy, Adriana Chechik, and Kayden Kross did seem like a good idea going into it, Manuel Ferrara and Mick Blue not enough to compensate for the other mopes just as some of the ideas could have worked out better but give it a look because porn is a majority of one so what works for you may not be to my liking at all.
