Extras: The extras began with three unrelated scenes that few have heard of (mostly unreviewed) including Stormy Daniels & Ryan Driller in “Dirty Deeds” (13:42 minutes), Kleio Valentein & Asa Akira in “Hotel No Tell 2” (19:18 minutes), and Anikka Albrite & Mick Blue in “Wet” (15:39 minutes). There was then a photogallery, some trailers, and a company promotional reel but the whispered about BTS that was shot appeared to be missing.

Audio/Video Quality: Pretty Dangerous was presented in anamorphic widescreen as credited to director Stormy Daniels for Wicked Pictures. Jake Jacobs was the director of photography and Andre Madness worked second camera, lovely Kylie Ireland & Andy Appleton were the art directors (with a cute cameo too), Mark Nicholson worked the video tech, Ric Rodney and Rocky worked the lighting, Hannibal Springfield was the audio engineer, Scott Boisvert handled the special effects, and the editing by Alex Sanders helped round out the extensive production crew. The flesh tones were largely accurate, the editing fairly polished, and the inclusion of many establishing shots with the cast in them helped make this feel like a “real” feature, albeit on a modern porn budget. The sex scenes were on the short side and seemed to be more heavily edited, the feature elements not as cohesive as Stormy’s block buster titles from ages ago, and the picture looked best on a smaller screen such as a computer monitor over a big screen television when it came to things like compression artifacts or pixelation but the movie came across as better than much else on the current market all the same. The aural components were well handled too, the music, vocals, and ambient noises blended in together decently enough in most cases, some dubbing likely and the music not credited but it was a step up from the features released by smaller companies, the post production process converting it into a faux surround that I enjoyed.

Body of Review: Stormy Daniels is a blond bombshell of a performer turned director in porn that works for Wicked Pictures, her many years in the business resulting in scores of well received light comedies and even a few blockbusters comparable to what her male peers released. While porn budgets have decreased tremendously over the years, to the point where none of us are holding our collective breaths waiting for Stormy to conclude her “Operation Stormy” trilogy anytime soon, she released her biggest release in six years a few weeks ago, a movie titled Pretty Dangerous. At first I thought the movie was banking on rekindling some of the chemistry Stormy had with the extremely talented Steven St. Croix that made her look so good in the past but she took a more creative route to write herself as a James Bond, over the top villain, leaving Steven to serve as a bumbling street cop who happens across her path as she set out to obtain the needed components for a major scientific breakthrough. Somewhere along the way the show developed in almost bipolar fashion where the two goofy cops provide the majority of comic relief until the final moments of the show, the cliff hanger leaving a sequel wide open, but sexually, the director staffed the show with a fine cadre of ladies any modern fan would appreciate. Stormy was in a B/G and G/G scene, her latest look reminding me a great deal of super popular Kelly Madison in her looks, while Allie Haze only did the lesbian scene with her, Anikka Albrite bumped uglies with her husband in real life Mick Blue, Asa and Chanel did each other with Seth, and Steven did Romi Rain, a throw away scene of Jack with Britney included but falling short also tossed in for good measure. The back cover described the movie like this: “This Stormy Daniels action-comedy features the perennial fan favorite as Ivy Diamond, a sultry super criminal who, along with her band of bodacious thieves, sets out to rule the world. Hot on their trail is a cynical Irish cop and his newbie sidekick. With its witty dialogue, dramatic intrigue and six steamy sex scenes, Pretty Dangerous will steal your heart!”

The company press release spoke glowingly of the production, saying: “Award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter and Wicked Pictures contract superstar Stormy Daniels is releasing her most ambitious production in six years, the big-budget erotic adventure Pretty Dangerous, March 4th. Starring Daniels as a sultry super criminal and featuring Wicked Girl Asa Akira, 2015 AVN Female Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite and X-Critic Best Actress Allie Haze as her band of bodacious thieves, the DVD’s release will be accompanied by a Hollywood premiere event featuring the cast and a social media campaign giving fans opportunities to win props from the movie. After working so successfully in the genres of romance (for the award-winning Wicked Passions line) and erotic comedy, Ms. Daniels’ latest production sees her returning to the blockbuster territory she mined so successfully in such mega-productions as Operation Desert Stormy and Operation Tropical Stormy. “Pretty Dangerous was an amazing experience,” Daniels says of her latest triumph as a triple-threat writer, director and star. “The movie was really big, and it turned out great. Everyone did their own stunts, including Allie Haze, who learned how to jump waves in a speedboat. Anikka did her own scuba diving and Asa rappelled from ceilings upside down!"” Heres a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Stormy Daniels, the busty blond featured on the center of the front cover, was up first in a black outfit that enhanced her looks for shaven head Brendon Miller in the boat, the man pawing her as they kissed. I thought she looked great and the other ladies were certainly smoking hot in their roles, some of the feature elements could have been pulled in together tighter but the single disc release sure to be among the second tier award nominees after whatever big projects come from Axel Braun and Brad Armstrong, the company track record at the AVN awards showing a great deal of love for all three of the powerhouse directors. For me, Pretty Dangerous easily earned a rating of Recommended when compared to current features by Stormy’s contemporaries, the technical aspects well done courtesy of folks like Kylie Ireland (and Andy Appleton), Jake Jacobs & Andre Madness, and the rest of the team pitching in even if the feature portion of the show fell flat too often. Give this one a look and I’m sure you’ll appreciate the tacked on comedic portions by Steven St. Croix and Jack Vegas who both stole the show every time they appeared on screen, the largely generic extras not as good as what I expect from Wicked Pictures but at least there were some.
