Audio/Video Quality: Dominations was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director James Deen for James Deen Productions. In stark contrast to many of James’ recent titles, the camera work here took an active stance and the editing did not allow for many lengthy moments without abrupt cuts, Danny Wylde credited as the cinematographer, Sigurd Jarlson as the AC/Gaffer, and Danny handling all post production such as editing. All the scenes had an abundance of grain, some of them far worse than others (like Dylan’s night scene), and the framing was often amateurish, the flesh tones either too saturated or simply not well lit enough, but it was a marked improvement to having James set the camera down for much of the show. There were some interesting choices made with regard to camera work too, all the ladies hot enough to cover for many issues arising, but at least there was no watermark. The aural components were decently handled for such a project though, the vocals easily heard, the stereo not offering any obvious effects as such but not needed either. That said, I tried listening through headphones to check if it might offer anything worthy and it was pretty generic that way too, the visual problems most notable when observed on a big screen television compared to a far smaller computer screen though the audio not much different either way.

Body of Review: James Deen is one of the “nest generation” performer turned directors, his works at James Deen Productions reflecting a willingness to try new things. His latest in for review is called Dominations, a set of vignettes where the ladies find how being put in their place does not mean they won’t get off. With super cutie Abella Danger, wonderful August Ames, sexy Veruca James, Dylan Phoenix, and Kalina Ryu, there was ample reason to think this production would stand out from some of the directors recent titles, especially for enthusiasts of BDSM. I’ll give credit where due though in saying that Dominations used Abella Danger, August Ames, Veruca James, Dylan Phoenix, and Kalina Ryu in ways I doubt they ever thought they would get paid for, artistically shot porn of the kind that caters to a small audience in my experience so check it out first.
