PornPros is one of the more recent and their new compilation disc, The Audition, showcases highlights from 2014 girls, including some recognizable faces that have blossomed into starlets just a few years later.

Scene 1: Adrian Maya and unnamed male performer

She tells him how it's more important to be smart than pretty, in addition to letting the world know she's an avid stargazer and reader bred from a sleepy Pennsylvanian farm town. She's an absolute joy to hear from; I would've been keen on a forty minute, fully clothed interview.

But that's not what we're here for, however, and after about fifteen minutes, Alli disrobes and we get a better look at her body. She nervously masturbates as the camera stares her directly in her shaven snatch. She also acknowledges early on that blowjobs are just as much about emotion and eye contact as they are quality lip and mouth service. However, by doing this, it adds a "then and now" aspect to this material to see how many, if any, of these girls have become mainstream porn stars. Arguably the most familiar and recognizable soul on this disc is Megan Rain, and we harken back three years to see when she was just a confident, outspoken eighteen year old before becoming a sizable name working for Blacked, HardX, and more.

It's a little surprising to see Megan so young and so new to the game, and it serves as a reminder for how quickly a woman can take off. She reveals her trademark flexibility's source is from years of doing martial arts, ballet, and gymnastics throughout school, and tells of her desire to leave her "boring," touristy hometown of Palm Springs in pursuit of success via the porn industry. There's a meaningful heart-to-heart that takes place between her and the interview for nearly twenty minutes before the clothes come off, which is a nice look at the Megan then and how little she's strayed from her roots in the present day.

An inexperienced masturbator, Megan nonetheless puts on a great show for the audience in a solo, and showcases even better cocksucking, deepthroating, and rimjobbing skills, most shockingly, showing a desire to letting loose early and being all she can be in just a few moments. After two strong scenes on two very different levels, The Audition grinds to a halt with this shallow, slow-moving conclusion. Mississippi-born Maddy Rose is a lanky girl next door type of girl, very pretty in a natural way, boasting minimum makeup and a cute slip-up referring to rapper Young Jeezy as "Lil Jeezy" at one point. She details life in a small, one-stoplight-town, most of which is censored, understandably so, and she proves herself to be quieter than the other girls nubiles on this disc.

The scene starts to unravel right from the solo, where Maddy engages in a completely sterile masturbation session and follows it up with even more pedestrian blowjob skills. Admitting right from the start she has never watched porn and doesn't know much about the industry, Maddy shows it by having no discernible sexual energy and a very monotone personality. Her looks are a bit unique, her confidence in her interview nice, but her on-camera personality is shy and undeveloped, and before you say it's because a lack of experience, I don't see Adrian Maya or Megan Rain having a huge body of work prior to 2014.

Maddy clearly has fun being bent over, and picks up a little bit of enthusiasm and personality during sex, but this glacially paced scene is oddly inert once the sex begins. What was a moderately compelling interview descended into lukewarm, vanilla sex not aided by a lack of character or any particular noteworthy positions or charisma. Maddy Rose has since go on to do a wide variety of taboo work, and I'd certainly watch another disc with her talents sooner rather than later. But this is a surprisingly flaccid debut with little to offer; a rare miss even by casting porn standards, which ordinarily have one standout even if they're subpar. 1.5/5 stars.

Final Thoughts

Speaking entirely from personal opinion, casting porn is not necessarily a genre I want to commit to on a regular basis. It's more of a "change of pace" genre of pornography, and as you can probably tell, it's one I value for the interviews and revelations from porn star hopefuls moreso than the vanilla sex itself. The Audition lacks some of the seediness present in the ubiquitous "Backroom Casting Couch" and even the mean-spiritedness of some others that need not be named, and it sometimes dazzles with very ambient cinematography.

But where The Audition really shines is in its cast of mostly champions, particularly in Alli Rae and Megan Rain, who showcase a lot to where you can't believe they wouldn't become stars in such a difficult industry. The tremendously disappointing closer and some lengthier-than-necessary positions aside, PornPros' attempt at casting pornography is interesting and competently entertaining.
