Audio/Video Quality: Aside from one minor glitch in a single scene, the video was sharp and clear. The audio was just as good. When VCA pays attention, they are among the best in the business on technical matters.

Body of Review: Sopornos 3 is the third chapter in the life of Bobby Soporno, a small time gangster modeled (slightly) after the HBO series, The Sopranos, lead. While I've never seen the first volume of the series, the second was one of my favorite porn movies of all time. This one is a stand alone movie so you won't need to view the others but you'll be missing out if you don't at least check out #2.

Okay, this time around, Bobby, has dumped the strip club in favor of other criminal activities. Much of the minimal story focuses on how he explained his actions to his shrink, played by Windy Nites. To be honest, she was the least capable actress here but most of you will skip her scenes anyway since she doesn't participate in the carnal activities we buy porn for (translation: she keeps her clothes on). The major plot thread concerns the beautiful Julie Meadows who had 3 sex scenes in a row and her efforts to protect her business interests from the family. Here's a breakdown of the sex scenes:

Scene One: Cherie, Monique, and Brooke had a little lesbian action with toys on a boat at sea. While there were some minor blemishes present, all of them looked to have fun in what I found out (by the commentary track) was a very cold location. Not bad at all and a good scene to start out on.

Scene Two: Nikita, owner of some of the most beautiful eyes in porn-not to mention one of the best sexual appetites, had sex with Tony in a warehouse. There was oral, vaginal, anal and a facial in this very warm scene.

Scene Three: After a bit of plot, the movie moved onto a scene between the exceptionally attractive TJ and greasy hood Tony by some stables. She looked great and the sex was generally pretty warm.

Scene Four: This is the infamous Limo scene where the color was tinted a bit due to limitations of the lighting. No matter, seeing Julie, a super hotty, take on the overly tattooed Marty was a treat. Even though she had some minor razor burn, pointed out on the commentary, her purring noises alone would've gotten a blind man off. I'm not just saying that because she was in my lap last week either.

Scene Five: Okay, it's generally considered unlucky to be the performer in a scene after the major hotty of the movie. after all, how can you compete? Luckily, the Director decided to follow Julie's scene with another Julie scene! This time, she took on Adam, and to a lesser extent, John, in an office scene. Very well done and the fact that Julie maintained a high energy level in each scene can be attributed to her look and talent.

Scene Six: Well, after two Julie scenes, the next performer's in trouble, right? Not this time since it was yet another Julie scene. To let us down easily, they paired her with "lazy fuck" Herschel (their words, not mine) on a bed. It was funny that they noticed his spotted penis yet again except that it's quite noticeable. This time Julie took anal after the usual oral and vaginal sex and even with a partner like him, she shined.

Scene Seven: The last sex scene was beside a pool on a lunge chair with Mr. Marcus and Bronze. It was, unfortunately, the shortest scene here and was only oral and vaginal. That it was kind of weak compared to the other scenes is no surprise but I've seen a lot worse.

Summary: The technical values were well above average and the ladies looked good. They had fun and so did I. The audio commentary alone was worth a rental and the sex has plenty of replay value which helps make this a solid hit.

Part of the reason the whole thing shined was the talent behind the camera and the attention to detail they showed. There were minor mistakes but they are soon forgotten after you see the "cute little horse" following after TJ (who looked hot on horseback by the way) or hear the accent of John as a Russian in his small role. Like a couple of other directors at VCA, Digiorgio has the golden touch within his niche-I just wish he made more movies and that they were marketed more aggressively.

Lastly, fans of the series will note that this volume has less story and more sex than earlier volumes. Personally, I like the humor each release has had and hope to see more in the future. Good work! This is a "must have" for fans of Julie and recommended as a rental to anyone that isn't locked into circus act sex acts for their pleasure.
