Audio/Video Quality: Overall, I'd have to say that the picture and audio were not quite up to VCA's standards. The good news is that the movie still looks and sounds better than most other dvd releases because VCA's quality is normally so high end.

Body of Review: I know that a porno is not the first place you go to when looking for a spy movie as there are so many mainstream releases dealing with the subject matter. The fact is that feature porn is often made with the cable television market in mind and that means some story, however minimal, is needed. In the case of Double O Blonde, you get not only a cute spy movie, but a virtual sex dvd featuring the lovely Tawny Roberts (see the dvd cover for a glimpse of her). Having watched a number of plot driven porno's as well as a number of virtual sex dvds, I can safely say that this dvd is perhaps the best of both worlds for many people. On the one hand, being able to see more of Tawny is certainly a good idea and the fun to be had with a virtual sex dvd is enough that they usually cost a lot more than average. On the other hand, there's lots of sex and a cute feature for those people who like such things, such as myself. To be fair, a dedicated virtual sex dvd would've provided more options for playing with Tawny and a dedicated feature might've had a more coherent storyline, but by combining them into a single dvd, it covers enough of each genre to make more people happy. In short, it gives you a lot of bang for your buck. For the record, condoms are used and most of the sex is oral and straight. Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Dayton and TJ had a little rendezvous on a couch and some stairs. Not bad.

Scene Two: Fujiko and Steve had a decent scene together which showed some real energy. Normally, I'm skeptical about his work but he seemed to be doing well here with her help.

Scene Three: Sabrine and Wanda took care of Chris. The energy level seemed a bit lower but the chemistry was undeniable. Good work.

Scene Four: Tawny had a short solo scene that was a lot more fun than usual. I've always thought she was cute but she never hit me as a top babe until recently. This scene confirmed why she has such a fanbase. Yum!

Scene Five: Bunny and Tawny went at each other. I really liked Tawny's outfit and demeanor with Bunny giving a solid performance too.

Scene Six: Tiffany and Cherie had sex with Chris and Antony. The scene included anal sex and was pretty good. I'm not a big fan of either gal here but admit they were good.

Scene Seven: Tawny and Cheyne went at it in a warehouse. I would've preferred she lose the wig but the sex was a lot of fun to watch.

Summary: While this wasn't the best VCA movie I've seen lately, it really was a lot of fun to watch and play with (ie: the Fantasex stuff). Sure, some of the lines were a bit stilted in how they were read and Jim Holliday was allowed too much room to preach but otherwise I'd have to suggest it as a keeper. For those with a dvd-rom on your computer, the dvd extras advertised a voice command feature where you don't need to use a keyboard, remote control, or mouse to play with the Fantasex option which sounded pretty cool. The extras also enhanced the value of this one although I'd have really liked an audio commentary too. In short, VCA continues to push the envelope of dvd technology by providing the features here that most companies couldn't be bothered with.

The movie itself was pure porno and the sex was never exceptionally outstanding but both had plenty of replay value as did the Fantasex option. I'm sure a lot of porn lovers will appreciate the wall to wall option which allows you to skip the talking, non-sex parts of the movie as well. In short, I think it rated a high recommendation for the overall package. I just hope VCA will continue to polish the rough edges of such advanced dvds and not rest on their laurels.
