When you plop a Private DVD into the player, you pretty much know what kind of adult entertainment you're about to experience—incredibly hot European gals and reasonably non-skanky guys rutting and spouting badly dubbed moans and groans. Often, the women sound like voice actors in anime. Caribbean Vacation offers little variation from the usual routine, except that it begins with far too much laughable and boring exposition about an overworked office nerd named Franco.

Anyway, once you get past 10 minutes of those scenes, you're in for some adequate sex, as Franco flies to the Caribbean to escape his real life. Let's take a look at it scene by scene.

Scene 1

Three nubile young blondes please Franco in shallow water on a beach. Interestingly, what could have been a very fine scene confines itself to blowjobs and handjobs, and he squirts all over his own abdomen. So the scene is more of a short tease than a real sex scene. Grade: C+

Here's a nice poolside scene, in which Franco has his way with a brunette, moving from standing cunnilingus to blowjob to more cunny to pool-edge missionary to lounge-chair reverse cowgirl to reverse-cowgirl anal to pop goes the weasel. Grade: B

This is an interesting scene that takes place between another man and woman, this time on a moving yacht. The action goes from blowjob to reverse cowgirl to cowgirl to doggy-style to blow-pop on the bow—reminiscent of the signature Titanic scene. Grade: B

Next up, we have another pool scene, this one between a brunette and a well-endowed black man. We go from blowjob to cunny-exploring to fingering to pool-edge missionary to cowgirl to doggy-anal to reverse-cowgirl anal to handjob pop to finger-lickin' good. Grade: B

That lucky black fellow gets to enjoy another pool scene, this time with a very fetching blonde who has fabulous fuck-me eyes and pert little breasts. We go from blowjob to reverse cowgirl to doggy to underwater missionary to shaved-cunny-licking to lounge-chair missionary to pop. Grade: B+

Here's a threesome for your enjoyment, but it's not the best kind of threesome (which involves three women) or even the next-best kind of threesome (which involves two women and one guy), but rather the next-to-worst kind of threesome (two guys and one woman). This one takes place in a bar, beginning with double handjobs and fingering and progressing to blowjobs, reverse-cowgirl, doggy while blowing, asshole-licking, cunny-licking, missionary, French-kissing with shit-stained mouth, anal while blowing, reverse-cowgirl anal, double penetration, and more simultaneous blowjobs/handjobs till the dudes pop. This scene had a lot of variety, if you're into the anal stuff. Grade: B+

Here's a scene on a good old-fashioned bed. It's a straightforward hetero scene that starts with some nice fingering and proceeds through lickage, anal exploring, blowjob, 69, reverse cowgirl, reverse-cowgirl anal, doggy anal, and an impressive pop across the face. Grade: B

The full-frame image is exactly what you might expect of a recently produced shot-on-video production—razor-sharp, clean shots of many people fucking. Colors are deep and accurate, with a slight tendency toward oversaturation. Sometimes, however, you'll notice annoying video blips and mosquito noise. The dubbing is actually somewhat hilarious, and it occasionally distracts from the sometimes very nice visuals. That being said, dialog and moans are clear, and the music has a full presence. The sound presentation is just fine for the purpose of this DVD.

EXTRAS

In the Extras section, the primary supplement is a 12-minute Making Of featurette that presents behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Caribbean Vacation. The focus is on the greatness of the location where the film is being shot. The featurette has the requisite goofing off and light blunders in the midst of great sex. Nicely done.
