Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color. As Director Nicholas Steele gets used to HD equipment, his productions show more promise with regard to the quality of the picture. Here, it looked pretty solid with lots of detail and accurate fleshtones. The audio was in stereo English with a decent score that wasn't as loud as some movies have had of late.

Body of Review: As the adult world tries out new technology, like shooting films in High Definition with top of the line equipment, the ending product will sometimes stumble and sometimes show promise. In the latest release by Adam & Eve, Behind The Mask, Director Nicholas Steele starts showing his previous experimentation with the format is beginning to pay off. The technical matters are improved but what about the actual sex? Well, thankfully, the story was fairly minimal-about a woman reporter trying to break her way into a secret society-but the sex wasn't bad and had some good looking gals. Here's a breakdown of the scenes:

Scene One: Honey, in a hot looking French maid outfit, and Manuel, warmed up on a couch. Joey joined them and the sexual antics began. Oral and straight with some warmth but more of an erotic tone than I prefer.

Scene Two: Melody, the lead here and a darned cute gal with long brunette hair, did Cheyne outdoors in a park. The setting and music added to the nature of the scene which was playful. Oral and straight only but it worked quite well here. Warm.

Scene Three: Cherokee, a hot looking gal with a high pitched voice, Steven and Steve, all had a great time in a kitchen setting. The sex was not the hard edged stuff I've watched of late and the friendly tone of it was pretty good. Oral and straight with some energy and chemistry between the performers.

Scene Four: Avy and Jesse, two attractive gals, did Cheyne on the staircase. Not exactly as hot as I prefer but it'd be suitable for those who haven't seen a lot of porn.

Scene Five: Teanna, an Asian gal with large implants, masturbated to warm up for her scene with the lovely Jana in front of a crowd of masked folks. It was sensual more than blazing hot but fun to watch a few times. They didn't use a lot of large toys as it was mostly oral and fingers which will appeal to a lot of people.

Scene Six: This scene was between Melody and Steven and started off edited into the previous scene. Melody was the female highlight of the show (with the possible exception of Cherokee) and I liked watching her perform here. Like the rest of the sex, nothing extreme but okay to watch a few times.

Summary: I honestly hope that Steele continues to improve his skills with the high-tech gear he's been using but he needs to remember that the best looking picture in the world (and this one was nowhere near that level of quality) won't replace hot sex with total babes in a porno. This was worth a rating of Rent It based on the women and the couples-friendly sex. It wasn't bad but had a way to go to really rate higher.
