Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual industry standard of 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Most of the scenes looked about the same as they did in earlier compilations although I spot-checked a few and some did look improved. There was a bit of grain much of the time, some special visual effects (mostly in scene four by Michael Raven) and some mosquito noise but nothing that was so distracting that I didn't want to watch the scenes. The audio was presented in stereo English but I didn't notice a lot of separation between the channels but most of the music was clear and the vocals not too far off the mark. The DVD transfer itself was decent and I don't recall seeing any major amounts of artifacts.

Body of Review: Dasha (AKA: Dascha) was one of Vivid's most attractive contract performers during her stint with the company. There was a reason for this: she was a babe, who seemed to enjoy sex a whole lot more than average, and didn't mind anal sex (unlike other contract stars). That many of her hottest scenes were also with her significant other, Dillion Day, should be no surprise and the chemistry carried through in many of their scenes. After watching a number of her scenes, both in the original releases and in compilations, I have to admit that Vivid has every right to cash in on this cutie by providing fully packed DVD's of her scenes. In the latest such compilation, 5 Star Dasha, there were thirteen scenes with the hotty in them, and most were pretty solid. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by movie, director and cast:

Scene One: Dashed: D-Chi Chi LaRue: Dasha and Dillion had the first full-length scene here and the warmth was evident, even if it also had way too much grain. The scene included anal but was very well done in spite of it. Lots of chemistry here.

Scene Two: Heaven's Revenge: D-Paul Thomas: Dasha and Randy had sex in a diner. It was actually very warm with the two of them seemingly into the sex. It was too short for my tastes and that was the only problem.

Scene Three: Highway 2: D-David Stanley: Dasha and Dillion, her real life sweetie, had sex at night by an RV. The oral was the best thing about the scene and overall it was only okay for the usually hot couple.

Scene Four: Liquid Sex: D-Michael Raven: Dasha and Dillion went at it in a shower. Raven's photography tricks weakened what looked to be a solid scene full of chemistry and the sound stunk too. There was anal for those who like it. While the two have supposedly left porn (I wish them well if this is so), this real life couple are often as good together as any other couple aside from Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo.

Scene Five: Now Or Never: D-David Stanley: Dasha and Bobby had a playful scene on a bed that had a fair amount of energy. While much of it was filled with her moaning, the oral and straight sex between these two was well done.

Scene Six: Perfection: D-Cash Markman (or, if you believe this compilation, David Stanley): This is what I said when I first saw the scene: Dasha, looking even better this time, took care of Eric in the house. This scene was a lot more energetic and warm than her first too and she looked great.

Scene Seven: Snap Shot: D-Ren Savant: Dasha and Dillion went at it on a couch. The two worked well together so it's easy to see why they had so many award winning performances with one another. The sex was oral and straight with a lot of chemistry. I'd have liked it to include more foreplay but only because this would address the market niche the scene was designed for. Warm.

Scene Eight: Unconscious: D-Robby D.: Dasha and, you guessed it, Dillion, had yet another scene, this one in a medical facility of some sort. The scene started off slowly, building heat as it went along, until it ended up with some anal action. The scene was hot.

Scene Nine: The Vision: D-Cleo Edwards: Dasha took on Danny and Pat, along with Dillion in a living room. Danny was a brunette cutie that spent most of her time with Pat but they all worked together too. There was anal in this scene as well and it was probably the longest of the whole show. Very warm.

Scene Ten: Wife Taker: D-Paul Thomas: Dasha once again took on Dillion on a bed. The two shared the same frenetic energy they had earlier and the scene was warm because of it. Some anal for those who care.

Bonus Scene One: Hot Spot: D-Guillermo Brown: This time, Dasha did Nikita in a biker bar with a large crowd watching. It was a lot of fun to watch and included oral and toys.

Bonus Scene Two: Shy: D-Chi Chi LaRue: Dasha and Briana had an erotic milk bath together here. It was energetic and fun with the two ladies seemingly having a good time.

Bonus Scene Three: Where The Boys Aren't 14: D-Chi Chi LaRue: The ever popular Jenna Jameson took her shot here in this very warm scene. At a bar, licking and finger action ruled as the two stars had a lot of long, lingering kissing and sucking going on. My only complaint was how Jenna posed for the camera a few too many times. Yum!

Summary: If you like Dasha and want to see her in a variety of scenes that she made for Vivid, you will probably agree that this one is worth a rating of Highly Recommended. It had some rough edges but the overall strength of Dasha's many performances here were certainly good enough to suggest for fans as a great collection of her work. I'm appreciative of Vivid improving their picture quality and adding extra bonus scenes that actually include the lead star. Such improvements are part and parcel for any company wanting to be competitive and while the company moves slowly, they are moving in the right direction.
